Vehicle Detail

Finish up my project, and ride a classic bike in style, or sell it for a profit!! Up for your consideration is a 1986 Honda VFR 700 Interceptor, that is in very good running condition. I bought this bike a little over two years ago as a restoration project, because I have loved these bikes since they came out. This bike has always been garage kept! Unfortunately, I need the money for tuition, more than I need two motorcycles. Please note: The previous owner dropped the bike at a low speed, causing cosmetic damage to the right side of the bike, as seen in the pictures. I have replaced the fairings, but the paint does not match on the lower right. The bike starts up immediately, and has a very strong running engine, which was rebuilt by the previous owner. I have since only put approximately 50 miles on it since I have had it. (I have another bike I use as my daily rider). The only mechanical issue I am aware of is a fuel leak that started the last time I fired the bike up. The fuel leaks only when the engine is running. I am not a motorcycle mechanic, so I am unable to tell exactly where it is leaking, except that it seems to be near the carbs. Some other things the bike will need are some missing bolts for the fairings. The radiator fan runs the whole time the bike is runnng, but I don't know if this is normal, or not. The foot pegs are bent on the right side, but new pegs are included in the auction. I also will include the rear turn signals, and some other misc. parts you can keep, or sell. I installed a new battery, and apparently, the battery acid leaked a bit while I was riding, and scarred up the swing arm, and lower exhaust pipe. Again, only cosmetically! If you live close by I strongly encourage you to come take a look at the bike before bidding. I will answer any questions ASAP, so please ask before bidding. I have a clear title in my name, that I will transfer to the new owner upon full payment. When you pick up the bike I require that you sign the title, and I will make a copy for me to keep, so that I know I will be released from ownership of the bike. This is due to a bad experience I had when someone did not transfer a title prior to reselling a vehicle. I am posting this motorcycle locally, and reserve the right to end the auction early. I will only end the auction if there are not any bids. I can also help transport the bike for an agreed upon, and reasonable, fee. If you need help with delivery, please talk to me prior to bididng, so there aren't any surprises. A $100 deposit is required at time of purchase, with full payment due within 10 days of winning the auction. If you fail to complete the purchase, I will keep the deposit to cover any expenses. If you cannot agree to this, please don't bid. If you need to make shipping arrangements, or delay pick up, I am willing to keep the bike in my garage for a reasonable period of time. Just communicate with me....I am very reasonable!!
