1968 Mustang J code coupe. Numbers matching engine and transmission. 302 4V, correct intake, C8ZF-D carburetor and C8OE-F Heads with California emissions. Engine is not rebuilt, C-4 automatic transmission is professionally rebuilt with new torque converter. Part way through restoration. Exterior surfaces and jambs have been hand stripped/media blasted to bare metal. Sealed with DP epoxy, primed with G2, blocked and sealed again prior to finishing with DuPont Chroma One single stage in the original Highland Green. Hood top surface and cowl top need to be redone due to surface contamination. Bottom side of car was finished in DP epoxy after media blasting, then finished in PPG DAR acrylic in factory colors and along factory masking lines. Car was extremely clean to begin with and was very good reference material. No rust to speak of aside from the bottom portion of the battery tray, and only the bottom was replaced in order to preserve the VIN stamp. New upholstery in Saddle has been going in. New headliner is installed. Car originally equipped with factory tinted glass, and only windshield has been replaced. Front and rear glass installed with new seals. Front glass is new. Full set of seat upholstery present, made by Distinctive Industries. New deluxe door panels. Missing seat foam, carpet and dash pads. Sitting on mostly stock suspension, but using Grab-A-Track 4 1/2 leaf mid eye springs out back and 620 coils in front. Rebuilt upper control arms, newer lowers. New spring saddles, all new bushings. Steering box professionally rebuilt, new MOOG idler arm. Clear title in my name and in hand. Original build sheet found and preserved.
