Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING 1957 CHEVY BEL AIR HARDTOP (REAL VC57 BEL AIR WITH NO POST) 4DR WITH RARE CONTINENTAL KIT THAT HAS BEEN RESTORED AND RUNS/DRIVES GREAT! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Manual steering 2) Manual brakes 3) Dual exhaust 4) Custom interior 5) Automatic transmission on the column 6) Upgraded 350ci/275hp motor 7) Stock 14" steel wheels with factory hubcaps and whitewall tires 8) Upgraded RARE continental kit option The car comes from Ohio. Previous owner took the car through a body-on restoration within the last 6-7 years, which included paint/bodywork, completely new interior, upgraded and rebuilt motor/transmission, all new chrome and various other things (wheels/tires, weather-stripping, exhaust/mufflers, etc.). Overall a total of $20+K was spent on this car. It's completely road worthy and can easily be driven anywhere, and cruises down the highway beautifully. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats are nice with very minor wear. Carpet is good with some stains and discoloration but presentable. Dash is very nice with mostly newer moldings and metal. Door panels in good shape. Nice steering wheel. Excellent headliner. Overall a nicely presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a slightly massaged 350ci/275hp motor with a few bolt-on performance accessories such as Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carburetor, full long-tube headers into dual Flowmaster style exhaust and some minor internal modifications. Transmission is an automatic on the column (formerly a 3 speed on the tree). Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble with some minor play in the wheel. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now without worries, just tune it the way you want and you're ready to go. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, and a few times on the highway on the way to a local cruise night or car show, never on any long trips. Underside looks very good for a 55-57 chevy. SOLID trunk with no rot or holes I was able to see (small patch by spare tire holder bottom). Floorboards look very nice and have been previously undercoated, a couple of small sheetmetal patches but very solid. Good frame as well and side supports are intact from the looks of them, which is very unusual as they usually rust out. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a nice driver (NOT a showcar). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect such as small chips/minor scratches and the like. A handful of tiny bubbles at base corners of a couple of the doors. Rear doors could use minor hinge adjustment. Not working: headlight switch needs replacing, perhaps a couple of bulbs may need replacing, a couple of the dash gauges not connected. Front inner driver's side apron within engine bay needs small patch. Signals/brake lights should be checked. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER AS IT IS WITH VERY MINOR WORK. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN AND ENJOY THE WEATHER AND FINISH RESTORING IT AS YOU SEE FIT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A BEAUTIFUL 1957 CHEVY BEL AIR HARDTOP (NO POST) WITH RARE CONTINENTAL KIT THAT LOOKS KILLER AND DRIVES GREAT!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
