Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING 1968 CHEVY CAMARO RALLY SPORT CONVERTIBLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS 327 V8 WITH 51K ACTUAL MILES ON THE ODOMETER! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Power steering 2) Manual brakes 3) Dual exhaust 4) Standard black bucket seat interior 5) Power convertible top 6) Automatic Transmission 7) RALLY SPORT trim 8) Custom 17" Torque Thrust style wheels with good radial tires 9) Front and rear spoilers The car comes from Pennsylvania. This Camaro has been my personal cruiser for the last couple of years. When I got it, it had already had an older restoration within the last decade. I was never sure whether the car was a real rally sport or not, as in 1968 it's very difficult to tell, but that never bothered me. In the last year I had it repainted professionally with base/clear coat ppg type paint and installed a whole lot of new trim and chrome. Wheels/tires were upgraded as you can clearly see and they are very manageable and NOT too big to affect handling, that's why I chose them. I've driven it on nice summer and spring days whenever I had time and enjoyed it very much. It's virtually all stock under the hood and definitely a pleasure to drive. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with MINOR general wear here and there. Everything is very clean and nearly new with the exception of some wear on driver's side armrest and bottom of driver's door panel. Overall a nicely presentable high end driver quality interior! Under the hood, the factory MATCHING NUMBERS 327ci/210hp 2bbl. V8 engine is all stock with NO modifications, down to the correct exhaust manifolds, intake, carburetor, etc (the car even has the original engine tie downs to show that the motor has never been out of the car!). Transmission is a stock and original automatic on the floor that shifts smoothly. Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now without worries. I've driven it anywhere and everywhere from a few miles to a local cruise night to 200+ miles to different states and it always performed excellent without skipping a beat. Underside and trunk pan appear to be in very solid original condition from what I could see. Solid trunk with NO patches and no holes that I was able to see (rear shock towers seem very good as well). Good floors throughout that seemed to have been undercoated a long time ago, with some of the coating peeling off in spots. Overall the underside is better than average on this sharp 68. The only thing that is not stock are the front and rear sway bars that were added for minor improvements in cornering. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up BEAUTIFULLY with good luster for a nice high end driver (i've seen show cars with not as nice a paint, but lets call it driver quality as it is not perfect). Some minor imperfections here with some filler in various spots, but very straight. Not working: hidden headlights (motors/actuators missing), front fog lights and rear backup lights need to be connected, perhaps a bulb or two could use replacing. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A JAW DROPPING CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER AS IT IS. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT NOW WITH THE TOP DOWN WHILE YOU ENJOY THE SEASON AND FINISH ADDING YOUR PERSONAL TOUCHES TO IT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A REAL NUMBERS MATCHING 1968 CAMARO RALLY SPORT (LETS CALL IT TRIBUTE) CONVERTIBLE WITH 51K MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT IS TURN-KEY AND WILL DRIVE ANYWHERE!.
