1964 FORD GALAXIE 500 CONVERTIBLE Here is a very solid, very cool 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. The car has a Ford 352 cubic inch V8 motor and automatic transmission (believe that both are original numbers matching). The car runs strong and shifts great. Brakes work perfect! Car has power steering and power brakes. Mechanically this car is A1 and has been lovingly maintained. I would consider driving it ANYWHERE with confidence! The car has an older re-paint that still shines up nice but is not perfect (has a few small touch up spots, a ding on the drivers side door and one quarter size rust bubble on the pasengers rocker panel (see picture). Outside of that the car is pretty much rust free! The bumpers and chrome are original and are a little dull in spots. But here again presentable as a driver. The car has new lower control arms. The car was undercoated well and the frame, floors and trunk areas are all solid. The car has had some cosmetic re-conditioning a few years back including newer carpet, re-painted dash and re-painted original door panels. Everything works on this car including the wipers, heater, lights, power top, courtesy lights, dummy lights, horn and gauges. Clock works on occassion. Car has a newer AM/FM Cassette radio that works and the original Ford radio comes with the car. The power top works great. Convertible top is in decent shape, but is a little yellowed in spots (see picture). The car has duel exhaust and sounds great! Car has two brand new radial tires in the front. Correct original wheel covers. Also comes with top boot cover,car cover and original owners manuals. This car does have after market front seat belts also! Car really is a blast to drive!
