Vehicle Detail
Here we go again - my first relist ended quickly (due to "buy-it-now"), but eBay strongly advised me to cancel the transaction because the "buy-it-now" winner is an apparent scammer, and on my original listing - I had to relist (see above) this car because the high bidder apparently did not know how auctions work, so... one more time... and let's hope "third time's the charm"... Offered is a 1970 Buick Wildcat Convertible parts car that I purchased in 2003 to aid in the restoration of another 70 Wildcat convertible. This parts car had a BAD frame when I bought it, but it was otherwise in fairly decent (and running) condition. It would have been a restorable car when I got it except for the frame. It is now missing the engine - I sold it to a fellow who was making an original GS350 into a GS455 (the rest of the drive train is there). Also missing the front seat and the tail lights. Otherwise pretty much everything else is there. In reality, VERY little else has been removed. This was a running, everything working car (including the top), when I got it. The floor is not good, body panels are still usable but will need work (some more than others). All glass is good. Dash is good. Rear bumper is pretty good. The front bumper could be pretty good too, but the center, lower section has been pushed back. It could be straightened. None of the convertible specific pieces have been removed - windshield trim (exterior & interior), top frame, pump and cylinder, hoses and wiring, dash switch, back seat, back seat arm rest/side panels and trim filler pieces, etc. Also included is a nice set of the long lower trim pieces that run from the back edge of the front wheel well to the front edge of the back wheel well. The pair presently on the car are not good. Also included is a nice condition chrome piece that runs across the front edge of the hood. Also not shown is a pretty decent pair of interior door panels and a good rear valance. Please note - the back seat will definately need reupholstery if it is to be used. The door panels and back seat side panels are "possibly" usable with a good cleaning. The seat frames and panel backing boards/frames are all solid. Of the convertible specific pieces, I believe they could be used on all 1969 and 1970 full size Buicks, Oldsmobiles and Cadillacs (as could the glass). Car is located in Eaton, NY, approximately 40 southeast of Syracuse. Thie was a one owner car when I bought it and the car came from northern NY. 1970 was the last year for the Wildcat and there were 1244 Wildcat convertibles built in 1970.
