Relisted with a reserve just above what it would bring as scrap metal........ First time I omitted the extra 100K miles as the odo only goes to 99,999 so the 59K actually looked plausible based on interior wear etc. At any rate the pictures show what we have here. A good friend's daughter's car that has been in semi-covered storage for at least 8 years. After sitting those many years it fired up and ran well enough that there was no reason why we winched it on a trailer (doing some denting to the front frame doglegs - appearance only..) to bring it to my place. Amazing as it is injected with 8 year old gas! Did some donuts in the back yard and terrorized the neighborhood a while before the rear brakes sufferred some type of hydraulic anomoly that left me with only the fronts. I could spend 2 weekends on this thing and make it a daily driver; if you do not know how to wrench or need to pay for mig welding stop reading now and run. Rust around the windshield is the terminal factor for me. This car is way to good to scrap and I will not part it out as the time required to do so would mean I spend less time with my Wife, E-Type Coupe, MGA, MGB, MGBGT, Vintage race car, Eldo convert, Hot Rod truck etc (you get the idea). If you live near Pickens, SC, bring you own battery and drive it home. Anyone else; I will let you use my Jag's battery long enough to get it on the trailer you bring. Car was originally silver so that is why the blue interior; I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time and I really do not think it will affect the resale value much at this point. Please buy this thing so I'm not tempted to buy it and use it as another excuse to not work on the really good stuff. GRASSROOTS Motorsports folks out there? - Help Me! Think of Paul Newman! I will also throw in the new carpet kit (black?) just so it is all gone in 1 easy transaction. Let me know what other info you need. Also, on personal inspection if you do not believe the description to be accurate and you have substantial positive feedback I will cancel the deal.
