Vehicle Detail

Please check our feedback! We are a professional estate sale company, and we value every single sale! We are proud to bring to e-Bay this exceptional one owner 1971 Ford Torino GT Convertible. This is my wife's mother's car who passed away last July, and her father is ready to let the car go. We are selling the car on ebay to avoid any issues between the seven children. We can guaranty this car was purchased new at Jim Kelly Ford in downtown Elgin, Illinois. The numbers on the registration tag read: 1H37F146524 3 41 76F 6A 27L 3 W This car was used as a daily driver for years and always garaged. The last time the car was registered was 1998. The car started 06/05, but was only backed out of the garage. The car has had and needs some work on both rear quarters. Front quarters still look pretty good. I cannot tell you how the frame and floor pans look as I am currently in a sling from right shoulder surgery. The car does not have airconditioning. It does have power steering, automatic and bench seats. The driver's side of the seat has a couple small seam splits. The backseat looks great. The convertible roof was professionally replaced about 20 years ago we think. We are going to let the pictures tell the rest of the story. We will try and get any questions answered in a reasonable amount of time. On Jun-07-11 at 09:49:58 PDT, seller added the following information:We've been receiving several of the same questions about the car, which I will try and answer here. The car as stated has has not been licensed since 1998. The car has been started one or twice annually and may have even been driven around the block. Tires are good, and have never leaked to a flat status. On Sunday June 5th, a new battery was put in and the car started after a few pumps on the accelerator. The car was moved outside so we could take pictures. As far as mechanical, we will not let you drive this car to your mechanic. We will however make the car available for your mechanics inspection at our convenience. Last, Ebay has policies in place to protect both buyer and seller. WE WILL NOT SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY. As far as ending the auction early. It is not against eBay's policy to end the auction early as long as we agree to sell the item to the highest bidder at the time the auction ends. If you do not want to wait for the auction to end, make us an offer, we might be able to work out a deal as long it falls into e-Bays policies. On Jun-10-11 at 11:08:24 PDT, seller added the following information:We apologize we have had to apply for a duplicate title from the Illinois Secretary of State. When we listed this item we were assured the title was available and as it turns out we cannot locate it so we have had to apply for a duplicate. If you have bid on this car and want to retract your bid or want us to cancel your bid, please contact us through eBay.
