For sale is my 2000 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI with the 1.9l turbo diesel engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Equipped with leather seats (fronts are heated), power moon roof/windows/mirrors/locks, alloy wheels, trunk mounted CD changer. Condition is very good - above average for age and mileage. I am the 3rd owner and this has always been a local, southern car. Engine runs strong, transmission shifts smooth, clutch feels great. Suspension is tight and brakes are good, no abnormal noises or vibrations while driving. All accessories work, including air conditioning. The paint and clear coat are very good overall with minor imperfections consistent with age. (Note, dent on left front fender and paint peeling from driver’s mirror.) The interior is very clean with no odors or significant wear, leather seats in great shape. (Note, glove compartment door hinge is broken - still closes ok). Recent maintenance includes: - New Timing belt – along with tensioner, rollers, water pump, and front crankshaft seal (all OEM parts installed by local VW specialist) - New alternator and pulley - New serpentine belt tensioner - New auxiliary cooling fan - New tires - New left front steering rod assembly - New cabin filter - New glow plugs - Engine oil change - Transmission oil change - Virginia state inspection The car includes 2 keys (one remote key, one standard key), floor mats, service records, owner’s manuals, and clear VA title in my name.
