SUMMARY OF VEHICLE CONDITION Mechanical Engine: Runs and idles smoothly. Accelerates well during short test drive at low speed. Brakes: Work well during short test drive. Steering / Front suspension: Runs smoothly and quietly, does not wander, steers easily. Exhaust: Dual exhaust, appears recently installed. Body: Overall very good, no visible rust; body panels straight. Exterior chrome: small specks surface rust across rear bumper, front bumper good, scratches on drivers side step plate as you exit the car Glass: All good, no chips, cracks or discoloration Chassis: Not detailed, no obvious leaks. See photos. Paint: The car appears to have mostly original paint (or an older repaint) with some touch-up with a spray-can on the left front fender and driver’s door. Has a usual amount of nicks and some checking in the paint due to age. See photos for these areas. Tires – Wheels – Hubcaps Good tread, hubcaps need cleaning/detailing, are undamaged. Interior: Carpeting: Black loop, good condition. Instruments: All in working order. Trunk: Yellow houndstooth material, possibly newer. Spare has good tread. No visible rust, metal appears solid in trunk area. Seats: Driver’s seat has some wear. See photo. Other seats front and rear good condition with no obvious wear or damage. Instrument panel: Upper pad good, lower pad loose left side-easily repairable Accessories – Special Equipment/Options Aftermarket cruise works, aftermarket A/C fan works but doesn’t blow cold. Aftermarket in-dash AM- FM radio works, two round speakers, one installed in each kick panel. Remote mirror driver’s side; aftermarket air cleaner. Black decal striping on car was recently added by current owner. Convertible top: The top works smoothly both ways without any manual assistance. Top material appears older and dull however no obvious flaws, tears or damage was found. Rear window plastic is clear, in good condition and can be seen out of. Top boot fitted however all snaps didn’t want to reach. Inner foam material loose, can be re-glued. Snaps are secure on boot. Manual seats, manual windows, power steering and brakes. A good warm weather cruiser in top-down or top-up weather you don’t have to worry about. A good driver quality car to enjoy or restore as you wish. I’m no Mustang expert but welcome your questions and any corrections you may have about the car. I think the car has the original 289 engine but haven’t been able to verify that.
