Okay Honda fans, here we go. You are bidding on an original 1988 Honda Civic DX with only 39,000 miles. That’s correct, you did not misread this, it is not 139,000 miles, it is an original, documented 39,000 mile vehicle. I bought this car over the Summer through an estate sale and I had intentions of using it as a daily driver. At the time, it had about 25k. All the fluids were dropped, screens changed, plugs, wires, coolants, you name it, everything to make her a reliable daily driver. I still have all the original replaced parts. I know what you're thinking Honda people, “what about the timing belt?” Yep, it was changed at 25k, not because of mileage, but because it was 22 years old and I didn't need any issues. I am the second owner and I have a folder full of receipts, inspection certificates and repair orders to fully document the mileage. I even have the original window sticker and the newspaper ad that the original owners responded to. This is the real deal. The car has been garaged all of its life and is in unbelievable condition. Straight as an arrow, shiny and virtually chip free. It has one scratch which you can see in photos below. Glass is perfect. It is rolling on 15” Honda Si Wheels with Toyo Proxes tires that are like new. I also have the original steel wheels with excellent tires on them if you want to rock the steelies. The car gets compliments everywhere I go and people are always smiling and giving me a “thumbs up” because she is so clean and it seems that almost everyone owned one of these at some point in their life. This car will be a classic in two years and it is super low mileage. Based on that, I almost feel like driving it everyday is a sin. This car should be shown and cared for by a collector, it is that nice. Don't mess with it, it’s perfect. It should be showcased as “original unrestored” at car shows. Like I said, I bought it to drive everyday because with such low mileage I knew it would last forever, but after falling in love with her, I almost feel guilty driving her everyday. Not sure if you guys can relate to what I'm saying. I'm not in a position to just leave her parked in the garage and take her out for weekends and car shows, I need a vehicle to drive daily. So, that’s what brings us to this auction. This is a great opportunity to own a one of a kind Civic. Car is an automatic with am/fm and a/c and was undercoated and rust-proofed by the dealer. No rust whatsoever, even from underneath or under the hood. Nicer than the pictures illustrate. One burn mark on the driver's seat. This vehicle is being sold locally, so I do reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
