Vehicle Detail
I started the auction at $400 because that it what I have invested into this project. However, I am needing the space and ready to see it go to a good home. So I dropped it down to TWENTY FIVE CENTS!!!!! $.25 Hell YA!!! Let the bidding begin!!!!!!!!!! You are bidding on a solid 1966 (I think) Lone Star 16 ft sailboat project. I originally bought two of these with the intentions of going sailing. However, I changed my mind and went the direction of adding a Motor to one of the boats. (The easy way out!) So.... as a direct result of my indecisiveness you are going to get the deal of your life. If you are not a project oriented person then close this ad now and sit back on the couch because your going to miss the next episode of American Idol. However, if you are ready for a challenge and you really enjoy sailing please continue reading. Or if you just want a whole bunch of 1966 Chrysler parts this is your dream pile!!! I found this boat in a barn in Gettysburg, PA it was there when my friend bought the place 20 years ago. Project Includes the following... The hull of which has NO TITLE The hull has one small crack on the rear from an impact. It is not bad at all and can be glassed over very easily.(illustrated in the photos) There is no rotten wood. The original floor is still installed The Swing Keel openings are not rotted and look new from the factory. The benches show no cracks and look to be in good condition. A good pressure washing would help this boat tremendously. The rigging Includes sheet ropes for all rigging for two boats Two Masts Two Booms 2 sets of twin dagger boards. 2 tiller sets Three dagger board levers. New updated swing cleat Oringinal swing cleat (still in place) Orignal Sails in Mint condition no rotting and no stains. 1 American Flag for top of mast. Trailer Surface rust sand blastable no holes apparent I towed the boat to my house on it for about 10 miles and it made no sounds and was very smooth. No lights No Wheel wells NO TITLE New swing down tounge wheel It has a new Cable Crank The trailer tounge end is new The boat comes AS IS you must load it from the yard to the trailer. It should be really simple and I have alot of carpet to pad the boat when cranking it onto the trailer. On Jun-04-11 at 14:29:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Many people are asking what is needed to get this boat out on the water. Well here is the to do list... Take boat to the water. Rig it up Launch it Sail it!!!!! Oh don't forget to put in the Drain plug before the launch. I will include it with the boat. Good luck - Keep Bidding!!! I need the space and the Money!!!!On Jun-04-11 at 14:35:58 PDT, seller added the following information: BONUS!!!!!!!!!! These are the only things you will need to purchase to get this completed... 1/8th inch nylon Plastic to cut out new parts 2 O-Rings White Paint Rubber Floor Mats (They have this at Home Depot) Trailer Parts - Lights, Rollers, Skids and Mounting hardware On Jun-04-11 at 14:43:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I had one person ask if I would give them tips on Mounting a motor to this boat. I can do better than that!! I have an example they can look at when coming to pick up the boat. It makes a really nice motor boat. I have been out in 6 ft seas with my motor powered version of this and it has no problems. On Jun-07-11 at 08:02:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked how would the register the boat without a title... In the state of Florida if you are sailing a vessel 16ft and under you do not need a registration. I was also asked how would the Trailer get registered... I will provide a bill of sale for a homemade trailer. This should be enough to get it registered in the state of Florida. On Jun-07-11 at 14:16:35 PDT, seller added the following information: These are the pictures of my completed project... I got the leather for the coushions from an old couch someone was tossing!!! So easy to do this job!!!
