1989 Jaguar XJS convertible Please be serious with your offers, this car sold on 6-2 -2011 to a non serious buyer. "Check the vehicle history report at the top of the listing which shows no accidents and scored 60 points which is high for this car" This is a 1 owner car and was just purchased from an Estate Sale in the Miami Florida area. This might be the only opportunity you may ever have to buy a 1 owner 100 % original car with only 70,000 miles. "Please read the description carefully before committing to buy this car" History : This vehicle has been in storage inside a garage for 14 years!! The car has been stored since December of 1997. Wow!! this car is truly a time capsule!! This vehicle was purchased by MR. John Kilpatrick on 10-24-89 at The Collection which is a dealer in the Coral Gables FL area. The name of the salesman John Phillips. Mr Kilpatrick was a Florida police officer and unfortunately passed a few months ago, His wife Helene Connel automatically recieved title of the car because of the estate laws. MR Kilpatrick had the car in storage for 14 years until his widow decided to sell it. The car was kept indoors for 14 years and because of that it has a perfect body with no rust. This car is a time capsule, the convertible top is brand new like the day it was sold new!! The body is fantastic straight with what looks like its original paint." The paint looks nice "not perfect but will look really nice with a wax" The interior is very nice, the leather is very nice with very minor flaws, the steering wheel itself shows very little wear, the convertible is brand new inside, the wood is awesome, only 70,000 miles and very pampered!! Original radio, convertible boot in good shape. Convertible top works very quick with no problems!! "You will never find a car in such original condition" This car is a virgin that has never been touched!! The car has been in storage for 14 years and will need a few things : The car was towed to my house and a mechanic was hired to check the car. "The car starts but turns off", The mechanic said it has fuel and spark but the injectors have no pulse . The mechanic said that the engine looked in good shape, he sprayed starting fluid to the intakes and it turns on for a few seconds and then it shuts off. The mechanic said he was almost sure the car needs the crank sensor in order to give power to the injectors, but that a scanner was needed to check the car. The widow's brother which sold me the car said the car was running 14 years ago and that they had not tried to start the car. I was told it will need all the fluids replaced and some work to get it going, obviously " it has been stored 14 years" The engine looks clean, the oil looks good, the previous owners don't think there is anything wrong with it other than the time that it has been stored. This vehicle was purchased new at The Collection here in the Coral Gables area and was always serviced at the dealer " name of the service advisor is Ricky Fernandez" wow!!! how cool is to know the history of what you are buying!! We have the original Jaguar books of this car since new!! Please be serious with this purchase and keep in mind that this vehicle has been off the road for 14 years and will require some work.
