Vehicle Detail
1957 Plymouth Belvedere 2 Door Club Sedan- 301 CID V8, Powerflite Automatic Pushbutton Transmission.Built in Los Angeles,Ca original color was Yellow and White with fawn colored interior. Car has been in California its whole life from out of the Central Valley.Very solid and 99% Rust Free.It kills me to have to let this car go. It runs and drives great.Previous owner painted it red and silver, its a 20 footer and not a show job ands was most likely done at a Maaco or Earl Scheib. I have done ALOT of work to this car to get it to this point and have spent Thousands of $$ too. In the past couple of months I had the windshield and new rubber installed, new Drivers door glass, drivers side rear 1/4 glass replaced at Tri Valley Glass in Pleasanton,Ca.That cost me $1700.00 alone, I had the exhaust completely redone from exhaust manifolds back with glasspack mufflers and chrome pencil tips, friend Ed at Sacramento Chrome and paint restored the deck lid emblem using "Cosmichrome" spray on Chrome system, same for the gold on the emblem.. Brand new Radial whitewall tires, new repro Lancer hubcaps(have the original 4 as well) New rebuilt 2bbl carburetor, new battery, new plug wires and spark plugs, brakes.I found and replaced alot of parts from John Fowlie Big M Auto Salvage in Williams,Ca. There are things it still needs that I could no longer afford to do.The trim on the car is chrome stick on trim made to look like a Fury, installed by previous owner. Headlights and Brake lights work. None of the gauges work and I dont know why, it all seems to be wired up ok, I installed a new instrument panel lens. There is no horn or turn signal switch assembly in the car or functional wipers, although the wiper motor is in place and seems to be all wired up correctly. I use Rain X and it works perfectly.I love driving this car around, and it gets all kinds of attention anywhere you go. I just paid Registration until May 2012 and car is insured through Grundy Worldwide classic auto insurance. Please call with any questions.I will ship anywhere in the World. Car is sold as is, where is as a driver and not a Concourse Show Winner.
