My Mercedes Diesel has been with me since September 2003. Before I owned my Mercedes it was first owned by a nearby father and later past to his son, locally, who I bought it from. In 1991 it’s engine was rebuilt at 153,500 miles. In my eight years of ownership I’ve maintained its mechanical condition by Bosch manufactured parts. It is a 4 speed with original radio, air conditioning and dual interior lighting. Most of my efforts were only replacing glow plugs, changing oil, and filters and the following other items: 05/11 New MB Glow Plugs, heaters fitted and a fuse 2011 New Hoses 11/10 Seven year battery $245.00 08/10 Recharged AC Flushed Radiator RR Front and back lifetime pads Turned new rotors & 4 new sensors 05/10 4 New Good tires at $400+ with about 2k miles of wear. 05/08 New Starter 12/07 New Water Pump 09/07 New Alternator 09/07 New Belts 05/04 Flushed Transmission Cosmetically, I rolled into another car. It is not recorded. I was not in gear and it had an emergency brake malfunction. My emergency brake has not since given me a problem and it has been a little over a year. Locally, the repair is to cost $518.00 without paint. It has it’s original paint. Seats are all good. Upholstery throughout is good. Dash needs work. It’s carpeted but it’d be nice if it was re-carpeted. A new paint job would max it out. I have the chrome grill and 3 extra wheel caps. The window has been scratched from unrepaired window wiper. The vacuum locks three doors. The front passenger does not lock. Hood does not stay half way open. Dash light never worked. I do not have its emblem. Needs antenna.
