This is a great find for all you 70's lovers out there- a very fine original 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix with just over 40,000 original miles, finished in the very popular Firethorn Metallic (that marvelous metallic Tomato Soup Red) with a Sandalwood Landau top. It's as bright and shiny as a disco ball and is in virtually the same condition as it was when it sat proudly on the showroom floor of the Pontiac dealer in 1976. It virtually screams "Have a Nice Day!"It's in excellent original cosmetic condition (no signs of repaint at all) with only a few minor nicks and is 99.9% rust free with superb floors and lower body. The Landau top is factory fresh and has no corrosion beneath it. The original Firethorn interior is near mint with some minor flaws on the driver's seat cushion (see pictures), but gorgeous crack free dash, immaculate carpets and lovely door panels and wood appliques. The headliner is mint. The chrome and stainless are unmarked and even the fender extensions are original and have no cracking or crazing. The lower fenders and door bottoms are absolutely factory fresh. The only sign of corrosion anywhere on the entire car are a few small spots on the passenger door beneath the window molding- shown in the pictures, but quite minor in nature and easily remedied. Otherwise you will be astonished at what a nice original car this is. It's been well maintained with the following accomplished in the last 5,000 miles: Four new radial whitewall tires, new belts and hoses, complete new R134a air conditioning including compressor and receiver dryer, and even new rear shocks and coil springs. It passed the stringent CA Emissions test last August and is registered through August of 2011. The car is smooth and quiet- it's not a rattletrap as some cars of this vintage can be and it runs and drives as beautifully as it looks.
