Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a custom 1947 Chevy Hot Rod Pick-up Truck... This is an early series pick-up which has a 1946 body style (only made first 2 months of 1947) This truck is all steel body no fiberglass. It sits on S10 front clip with power steering, power disk brakes at front, drums at rear, it has a 383 stoker engine. 650 CFM double pump Holly custom carb (6 months old) Transmission is a 700 R4 automatic transmission with high gear lock package. There is a new fuel cell in custom truck box located in bed and battery located in 2nd truck box in bed. New 12 volt painless wireless harness with extra options for air and accesories. Bed has been overhauled with new wood and crossmembers. New dual exhaust dynaflow mufflers and chrome tips. Has a rebuilt 1946 heater hooked up needs 6 volt voltage reducer and switch to run. Has vacume windshield wipers installed and tested- disconnected from engine never driven in rain garage kept. CD player with front and rear speakers. Tinted glass in all windows. This truck is street legal and a weekend driver. This truck has caught lots of attention at shows and local Classic car night at Sonic. The paint job is not show quality but looks great and get lots of compliments, average scratches from weekend driving. made new tailgate needs proper finish work and paint. Grill and apron has been painted but needs proper finshing and paint as well, both have been spray painted to match truck. This is a great truck with too many new parts to mention all but does need a little work. Due to sitting for years while working on it front transmission seal seeps slowly, have taken to transmission shop and told it's front seal gasket that dries out from sitting and is very common. I was told it can be changed without removing the engine, haven't had the time to fix. Leaks very slowly but works great I check and top off monthly if needed. Replacement gasket is about $25.00 from Jegs. Speedodometer and gas gage need to be adjusted, working but not accurate. Runs great once warmed up needs but needs to be fined tuned. This is a great truck, my family has grown and I need to find something to cruise with the entire family. I try to describe the truck to the best of my ability.
