Thanks for looking!! Welcome!!! Up for sale is a 1977 Mercedes Benz 450sl convertible. The car is in great condition and has 82,100 original miles. Please take a look at the High-resolution pictures below to get a good view of the car. Although the car has minor cosmetic issues, it has strong selling points. We encourage interested buyers to come by and drive the car or bring their mechanic. This car drives beautifully and is mechanically excellent. This car was originally selling for $23,000 in 1977, which is adjusted by inflation to over $100,000 in today’s dollars. As can be seen in the pictures, the paint is excellent besides a few small bubbles and scratches on the trunk lid which are very minor and can barely be seen. -Body- The body of this car is in excellent condition. The pictures do a great job of showing the clean, straight body of this car. Also, the bumpers of the car look very good. There is a thin crack in one of the front and one of the back headlights/taillights. You can see the cracks if you look really closely, however, they work perfect and can barely be noticed. -Soft top- As with many 450sl’s the soft top of this car hasn’t been used for over 20 years and therefore needs to be replaced. The plastic is clouded and there are tears in the canvas due to age. However, soft tops can be purchased on ebay for under $300 so this is a cheap fix. -Hard top- The hard top of this car is in great condition. The interior of the hard top also looks very clean and neat. -Engine- The engine of this car is one of its very good selling points. The car including the engine, transmission, etc have only 82,400 original miles on it. Taking the car for a test drive or hearing it run, shows that the car’s engine has been very well taken care of. The car has been serviced by the same mechanic for the last 15+ years. His information will be included in the sale. - interior- The interior of the car is in good condition. The drivers seat has tears in it and the passenger seat is in great condition. Both seats have matching faux-sheep skin covers on them so the tears in the drivers seat cannot be seen. The car comes with three 450sl custom floor mats(one extra). The dashboard has one crack on it. The wood trim is missing along the glove compartment. The wood panel around the gear shifter is in good condition but should be re stained. This car includes a $1200 Nardi one-of-a-kind steering wheel. Also, the air conditioning in this car works(cold air also) which is a big positive of this car. The original radio works excellent, the speakers have been updated and the sound is crystal clear. The antenna on the outside of the car also moves up and down with the radio. All in all, this is a great car with an exceptional base. The engine is terrific with very low original mileage and the car has many extraordinary selling points such as a Nardi steering wheel and a working air conditioning unit. In addition, this car has been continuously driven over the past 35 years. It has not been parked in a garage or neglected for years at a time.
