This classic Mercedes was bought in Europe by a Naval officer and shipped from Spain in 1959. It is Slate Grey and Navy Blue with a fine red/coral stripe. The odometer reading is just over 11,000 miles, I have no way of knowing if this mileage is correct. In the last six months it has had a new Distributer, new Generator, new Volt Regulator, one re-built and one new out of the box Carborators, full tune up, new Battery, gas tank cleaned and coated. Transmission and brakes were checked and in good working condition. I believe I am the third owner of this car: not positive. I bought it in 1995. This car stops more people and gets more attention than any car or motorcycle I have ever owned. Simply put it is elegant, classy, and wonderful to drive. The front bucket seats are in dire need of repair, the back seat is better, but could still use some improvement. Seats are navy w/red pin stripe leather. From ten feet away the car looks to be in perfect condition; up close one can see some detailing that could use some attention, but there is nothing glaringly amiss on the exterior. The interior wood is in excellent condition. Although I do not have images of the undercarriage, there is no rust. The bumpers have been re-chromed: there are a couple of small rust spots on the front bumper. Buyer must pick up car and a down payment of $500 must be paid to reserve for purchase.
