This is a 1975 Dodge 1 Ton Dually dumptruck. The cab has been replaced with a 1954 Dodge 1 ton cab. the chassis is all 75. including the power disc brakes. the truck originally had manual steering. so that is still in there. i had to replace the steering box, came from a junkyard. the steering column has been shortened about 8". the engine and transmission is a 400 big block chrysler and 727 automatic from a 77 New Yorker. the tranny was rebuilt at Goodale transmission In Columbus Oh. when i was still using the new yorker. shifter is a turbo action. has electronic ignition with msd 6 box and msd wires the 54 had a flat head 6 cyl. Much of the firewall had to be cut out and refabricated to fit the big block. the brake pedal assembly was reused. the gauges were all replaced with auto meter gauges. the water gauge doesn't go all the way back to the pin anymore. the bed is 6' x8' with an electric 2 cylinder lift. it will lift about 6000# . the rear end is a dana 70 with 4.56 gears. it will haul pretty much whatever you can get on there. the engine uses the original 54 honeycomb radiator. engine has never boiled over, but it gets pretty hot under the hood. i first put louvers in all 3 sections of the hood. then i took the wings off and drive it like that.
