Y99 Suspension Original Owner's Documents PHS Documentation and Window Sticker PHS Documentation, Owners Documents and Window Sticker Background While this beautiful Formula Firebird was delivered to Christy Pontiac in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, it spent the majority of its life in Washington State. I shipped the car back last year. Washington State does not use salt and much of it is high plains and desert. It is a wonderfully forgiving climate for old cars. Custom Saddle Interior is Completely Original and in Beautiful Condition. My Formula is optioned with the Tachometer & Gauge Package as well as an AM/FM Stereo 8-Track. It still has the original factory floor mats. Original Door Tag This is my favorite Pontiac Instrument Cluster Factory Rear Deck Speaker Vehicle Identification Number Completely Original Engine Compartment My Formula's engine compartment is Completely Un-restored. It still wears the original engine paint. Many of the factory markings are still present. The engine has been beautifully maintained. If you enjoy original cars or remember them from back in the day, this one will just make you smile. Original Master Cylinder and Power Brake Booster still demonstrate the factory inspection marks. Factory Red Oxide Primer can be seen on the firewall. Wait until you see the floors on this beautiful bird. Original Factory Stamped and Date Coded Alternator Original Harrison Radiator with Factory Tag Factory Engine Stamp and Sequence Number Factory Engine V.I.N. Stamp They are difficult to see on Pontiac Engines and can only be viewed from the underside. It is always on the right side next to the timing chain cover. Cylinder Head Casting Number Factory Date Coded Formula Hood Factory Cowl Tag ST 73 2FS87 N 133486 BDY TR 243 A51 11 11 PNT 05C W66 470221 Completely Original Trunk, Jack, Spare Tire, Mat and Splatter Paint Body/Sheetmetal My Formula still wears all of its original body panels. I put the car on my lift and did a complete walk-around. If not for a single repaint in lacquer, the car would easily qualify for the Bloomington All Survivor Show. Note: The crack above the turn signal is a commonly noted problem with 1971-73 Firebirds. Assembly line workers were forced to muscle the new front valances in place because of improper alignment of the new mounting points. The stretching frequently caused this specific crack. The fix in 1973 was to retro-fit a 1970 steel valance. Original Power Beam Headlights All factory panels are still in place as evidenced by the pinch welds and date codes. Undercarriage It is easy to see that my Formula led a charmed life. The Norwood, Ohio Assembly Plant used red oxide primer on the floor pans. It is in beautiful condition and many factory inspection marks are still present. Factory Driveshaft markings are still present Rear frame rails are very susceptible to rust on all Firebirds. These are perfect and look as though they left the plant yesterday. New Bilstein gas shocks are currently installed at all four corners on the Formula. The original rear spiral shocks will come with the car. Original Factory "CA" 2.73:1 Saf-T-Track Differential About the Auction This is a beautiful example of a 1973 Formula Firebird. Everything on the car is in proper working order. It is in an excellent state of tune, runs, drives, brakes and shifts great. The only issue that I know of is the AM band on the radio does not work.
