FOR SALE!!! 1977 International Harvester Scout Scouts: The Scout was International Harvester's piece of the popular SUV/Truck/Jeep market in the 1970's. These vehicles were meant to have the ruggedness of a farm vehicle, with the open-air, "convertible" style of a Jeep (hence the removable top). Over the years they have become very popular with classic car and off road enthusiasts. This vehicle: I bought this vehicle a year ago as a project car, but don't have the time or money to work on it. Furthermore, I'm moving soon so I need to get it off my hands (unfortunately...I would have loved to spend more time on this vehicle). When I purchased it, I drove it from Colorado to Georgia...in August, so I can vouch for the fact that it runs well. CURRENT CONDITION: The previous owner rewired the electrical system so I was having issues with the alternator when I bought it. Furthermore, I lost the keys about six months ago and had to drill out the ignition to TRY to start it. Bottom line, the vehicle is not running and needs a new electrical/ignition system. Other than that, it is in good shape mechanically. The engine was replaced before I bought it and I'm told it has less than 25,000 miles on it. 33" Big Foot tires. 12 disc Jensen CD player. Locking front and rear hubs. Padded roll bars. This vehicle is an off-roading beast. Body: A few small dents and rust spots.
