Vehicle Detail

I have a reputation of giving long winded descriptions of cars that I list here on ebay. But I like folks to know exactly what they are bidding on so that there are no unpleasant surprises. And everyone has always been happy with their purchase from me. I've sold about 30 cars from about $5k to $40k over the last few years on here. I am a 1st generation Camaro FREAK. I've been restoring them over 30 years now and I'm about to get the hang of it. I rate my cars as "A" , "B" or "C" cars. An "A" is a National contender, never, ever to be driven. A "B" is almost too nice to drive and will win consistantly at the local shows. A "C" is a super nice driver that will pick up a trophy now and then. This car is a "C" type car. I have a lot of requests for good builders. So sometimes I just take a car up to the point where all the hard, scarey metal work is done and someone can finish it out to their own taste. That's the case here. On to the car. This car was originally a 327 with a powerglide. 1243 VIN V-8 car. Data plate reads: 11B K 67-12637 NOR 33170 797-Z E-E W 2MGR 3L Which decodes as: Built 2nd week of Nov. 1966, Parchment and Black interior, 67 Sport Coupe with Custom interior, built in Norwood, Oh, Parchment Custom bucket seats, Deepwater Blue paint, tinted windshield, powerglide transmission, center console, rear seat speaker, RPO Z22 Rally Sport equipment. The motor and trans. are long gone. I began by completely disassembling the car, stripped it down to bare metal and assessed the body. Someone had run a chain or rope through the rear license plate hole and pulled the car, bending the heck out of the lower part of the tail panel and inner brace, so I installed new ones. I installed a new trunk pan and braces, new quarter skins, new decklid, new rear spoiler, complete new full one pc. floor, new seat platforms, good rockers, good doors, good roof, good window openings, good firewall, good frame rails, good trunk extensions, good drop offs, good shock mt. areas, good inner wheel wells good outer wheel wells, new upper dash panel, new core support, new inner fenders, new fenders and extensions, new lower valance, new header panel, new cowl panel, new cowl hood, new hoodlatch, new hood striker and new battery tray. All the cutting and welding were done with a plasma cutter and mig welder using solid core steel wire ( no flux core ever). Once all the cutting and welding and grinding were done, the rough in body work was completed inside and out, top and bottom rotisserie style. Then the outer main shell and doors were primed with a yellow colored, rust inhibiting polyester primer. It was then longboarded with 80 grit. and reprimed twice, then primed with black lacquer primer and longboarded with 180 grit. All undercoating was removed and the entire bottom of the car was PPG DP-90 epoxy sealed as were the firewall, dash, floor, subframe assembly, rear end and leaf springs. The subframe assembly was then installed with a new bushing and bolt kit. The rear end was installed with new front mounting cups, "J" nuts and bolts, mounting pads and rear shackle kits. A new gas tank was installed with a new 3/8" sending unit and new straps. The entire new front clip was then assembled using new core support bushings and hardware and all new "J" nuts and bolts. A COMPLETE new hideaway headlight system was installed. New front bumper and bolts, new parklight assemblies, new wheel well moldings, new rocker moldings, new outer door handles, new door mirror, new rear bumper and bolts, new reverse light assemblies, new RS gas cap, new taillight bezels and lenses. A new shaded and tinted windshield with nice original moldings and new clips was installed. Nice original rear glass was installed with nice original moldings and new clips. All nice original vent, door and quarter glass. All tracks and regulators were cleaned and lubed so they roll up and down smoothly. The dash was reassembled with nice original heater assembly, cables and nice smooth controls. Original radio, ashtray assembly and new center trim panel, nice original glove box door, nice original dash switches with new bezels, new headlight knob and new lighter, nice original instrument cluster, steering column and steering wheel. Good solid front and rear seat cores and Deluxe side panels. The bucket seat cores have correct metal backs for 67.Will of course need new buns and covers. New engine harness. New headlight harness with new RS relays and plate. A battery charger was used to test the hideaway setup to make sure they work. 15x7 Rallys with mismatched roller tires. The car will need your drivetrain, complete new brake system, a complete interior kit, a new fuel line and of course paint. I suggest the car be blocked and reprimed a couple of times to make sure all sand scratches are gone before painting. All the keys are there. I have new trunk weatherstrip, roofrail weatherstrip, door jamb "U" seals and cowl seal that go with the car. I have a clear Arkansas title in my name. The car is not advertised locally, but everyone knows that I build these cars and about a fourth of them sell locally by word of mouth before the end of the auction, so I reserve the right to stop the auction should a local show up with cash. Of course,if you hit the Buy it now,it is yours.I will require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 via Paypal within 24 hours. The balance is due within 7 days via Bank wire transfer or cash in hand. If you use the wire transfer, I can overnight the title to you. I can store the car up to 30 days inside. I am available just about anytime to help you load it or help a transport driver load her up. The car can be viewed about anytime. Please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding. Thank you.
