1949 Studebaker short bed Pickup truck with mid 70's Chevrolet 350 4 bbl and TH350 automatic transmission. Engine starts quick and runs strong--no EGR or smog (PCV and breather vented). Good oil pressure. 12 volt charging system works excellent. Contact points distributor and ignition. Electric fuel pump. Solid floor pans in cab and bed. Body has rust some damage. Noted previous repairs to body and fenders. Needs lots of finishing--tune-up, exhaust, brakes, tires, interior, electrical, body work, glass seals and paint. Original Studebaker suspension, brakes and steering. Lever action shocks. Overall very straight. Excellent tailgate. Good radiator, alternator, transmission, and serviceable original glass. Engine casting numbers 3978010. RPO numbers stamped in right front deck of block V0527CMJ 15J230283. Cylinder head numbers 3927186. Excellent restorable original die cast trims parts. Serviceable original fuel tank (may need cleaning). Solid battery tray and hold down brackets. Good clean title. This project has been in storage for at least 15 years. A nice clean start to a cool rod. Runs and moves about under it's own power however after many years of storage the brakes are inop--master cylinder is complete, however it does not pump up! Vehicle must be towed or transported. Forklift available--we can load. Overall good used condition.
