I’m selling my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab, Step Side. Automatic transmission with 3.0L V6. Atlantic Blue Metallic (K7) paint with light gray velour interior. The truck is in excellent condition inside and out. All original paint shines beautifully, there are no dents or dings ANYWHERE on the car and interior is in perfect condition, no rips/tears. The truck has 105,570 miles on it and all services and maintenance are current and up to date. All service records and receipts will be provided for winning bidder as well as original manuals and paperwork. We are the second owners and have owned the truck for 9 years. This is a fantastic truck and I hate to sell it, but with my growing family I am looking to purchase a 4 door truck to replace this one with. This truck is fully loaded with all the luxury features, i.e.: power windows and door locks with keyless entry and alarm, cold a/c & warm heat, AM/FM/CD stereo, velour dash mat (dashboard under it is in perfect condition), rear folding jump seats with seat belts, sliding rear window, original Ford Duraliner bed liner and much more... There are no mechanical problems with the car, everything work perfect as it should, it runs and drives great. I recently rebuilt the entire engine top to bottom. It had lost oil pressure due to a bad cam position syncro, also known as the distributor gear. This is a common issue with the 3.0L’s. When the engine lost oil pressure, all main and rod bearings were damaged causing the motor to seize. The rebuilt engine currently has 4800 miles on it and runs excellent with great amounts of power. No leaks, no noises, ticks or anything else... List of new parts installed during engine rebuild: - complete valve job - turn crank 10/10 - crank and rod bearing - hi flow oil pump - new cam position syncro with new sensor - piston rings - Hi-Pro gaskets/seals throughout (head gaskets, upper/lower intake, oil pan...) - water pump & thermostat - complete cooling hose kit - Motorcraft platinum spark plugs - serpentine belt - engine has always been filled with 5/30 Motorcraft Synthetic Blend oil (the only oil recommended for this engine in the factory manual) Transmission was serviced (new filter and Castrol Mercon V oil) when it was removed during engine rebuild. Rear differential also serviced with new gear oil. New Front brake pads with new wheel bearings and seals. Newer oversized 265/70R15 Continental ContiTrac SUV tires with new full size spare. Again, all records, documentation and pictures of the above will be provided to winning bidder as well as all old parts that were replaced/removed during rebuild.
