Due to my diabetes and on going glaucoma problems followed by cataracts etc. I have decided to let go of one of my most treasured possessions. I don't drive it anymore, it is just parked in my garage for all to admire and it is time to pass it on to someone else. I thought I would never sell this car when I purchased it. What we have is a numbers matching 1970 DODGE CHARGER RT SE. The car is loaded with factory options that I will describe. 440 - 4 barrel engine - factory numbers matching I was told by the man I bought the car from the engine was fresh, it runs very strong, there is no smoke, and all looks freshly redone. He was a guard at the state prison so I don't think he would mislead me. 727 automatic transmission - I am told it has the hemi clutch pack, again numbers matching and fresh rebuild DANA 60 rear end, original as far as I know power steering power front disk brakes power windows factory air conditioning am/8track (matches the build tag) 6 way driver bucket seat dual door mirrors bucket seats w/ buddy seat, shifter is on the column tic tac clock combo (the tach works the clock doesn't) original CALIFORNIA car with no rust original radiator original jack and tire tools are in the trunk What has been done since I've owned the car: New coil and MOPAR voltage regulator sent am/8 track out and had rebuilt new gas tank & sender installed new bearings on the rear axles new front disk brakes and all new brakes on the rear rear-end pinion seal replaced rear springs installed all new rubber bushings mufflers (due to their roar) were replaced, car has 3" exhaust RH exhaust manifold milled due to leak and new gaskets installed master cylinder replaced heater core replaced NOS evaporator restored air conditioning dryer bottle, expansion valve, compressor, & control valves under dash replaced with new. System is fully charged and working on R12 freon, all old original parts including dated 69 compressor saved and included. Rare heater control vacuum valve on firewall side replaced with a NOS one. Engine: replaced motor mounts and added a tie down bar, rebuilt original carburetor, complete tune up including new spark plug wires, plugs, points, and installed new waterpump, added the tin covering on the lh exhaust manifold, hooked up the air hose from the exhaust manifold tin to the air cleaner All transmission linkage, passing gear linkage adjusted by local MOPAR expert I installed a new alternator but kept the old one What the car needs: rear side windows do not go up and down sometimes when you activate the power window switches, I think the switches just need cleaning but I have not touched them and want to be honest with you. I have seen them work sometimes. clock does not work, again the tic tac tachometer works fine I have put the car in some local shows here and won a trophy for "Best Interior" and another one for "Childrens Choice".
