1957 Chevy belair 2 door Hard top You are bidding on a 1957 Chevy belair 2 door hardtop. I purchased this from a farmer’s daughter. This car was parked in the pole barn you see in the pictures in 1985. Prior to that she drove the car only a few times a year and kept the car garaged. At some point in time the engine was changed to a 1964 283. Not sure of the part numbers of the internal parts including heads. Believe transmission to be original as well as the rear end. I believe this car was only repainted once in the early 80’s. This car is truly a survivor. The only thing I have done to the car since we brought it home was wash off the dust, remove and install used carpet (pad), minor cleanup inside, cleaned gas tank inside, and a new fuel pump. This car was factory undercoated, including under side of hood and trunk, which really saved this car. All fluids were checked but nothing was needed. Antifreeze was good. Car starts right up and runs smooth. Currently the gas line is hooked up to a can since I haven’t reinstalled it to the gas tank. All tires hold air and I believe the steel wheels are original. Brakes will stop but have not been touched. This belair will pull itself in and out of the garage and on a trailer but is not road ready. Odometer shows 15,000 but is exempt on the title.
