The car drives and runs, but it does have a few problems as discussed below. This car has served me well, and I’ve finally decided to move to something else. I am disclosing everything to the best of my ability. Be advised this car is being sold as-is. This car will need some repairs, but Lexus engines are known to have a lot of life in them. Many parts have been replaced recently (shown below). I have the CARFAX records available (in addition to eBay’s Experian Autocheck). If you have any questions concerning the car, need more pictures, or wish to schedule a time for you/mechanic to see it, please don’t hesitate to contact me. ejm57@drexel.edu. The good: Sunroof Leather Seats Interior kept clean (no smokers or pets) Car runs on synthetic Mobil 1 Synthetic oil Service records since we got the car (2000, 55K miles) Replaced transmission (<40K miles), recently flushed with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF Engine mounts replaced less than a year ago New radiator and hoses installed (Sept. 2010, less than 5K miles on them) All brake pads and rotors replaced 3 years ago (Lifetime warranty) HD radio Coverking seat covers Complete tune up (Feb. 2010) (NEW: fuel filter, K&N air filter, Bosch Iridium spark plugs, NGK spark plug wires) 3 relatively new performance tires (Installed March. 2010, less than 10K) (One tire recently went flat, no warranty and it can’t be repaired, currently running on the car’s full size spare) (replacement tire should be a little over $100) Body paint in good condition (some small dings and scratches, expected on a car with 192K miles) Shocks and struts less than two years old Mid exhaust pipe with cat recently replaced <8K miles The bad · Engine recently developed a periodic misfire in one cylinder (only happens after the car warms up) o Mechanic did a basic diagnosis, traced it to either a loose spark plug or a faulty fuel injector · Radio needs to be reground (some radio feedback from alternator) · Bumper paint is not as good as body o Car was hit from rear (no damage, some scuffs on the paint) o Front bumper had some paint scratch off (parking in a tight garage) § Repainted with matching color, but didn’t apply smoothly · Slight grinding noise with the retractable antenna (I personally unplugged the antenna motor with the antenna deployed, picks up the signal great without the noise of the antenna raising/lowering). · Front leather seats are showing their age/use (some tears), these are covered now with the Coverking seat covers. · Hood struts needs to be replaced (Replacements are included with purchase, I just never got around to replacing them)
