Vehicle Detail
This is my very nice 1976 BMW 2002 with 76,200 original miles. This car was originally from the South. It has always been garaged and has never been winter-driven since it was brought North. Consequently, this is the most solid, rust-free 2002 you are likely to find anywhere. This car is completely solid and totally clean from top to bottom. This car has the very rare automatic transmission. It also has a huge sunroof. The car runs and drives beautifully- it runs smoothly and it doesn't have any known mechanical problems. I just took this car on a highway trip from Pittsburgh, PA (150 miles) and it performed perfectly. The car drives great and the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc are all in great operating condition. I feel confident that this 2002 could make a long drive anywhere. The interior is clean and in great shape. The seats are in nice shape with no rips or tears and the carpet still looks very nice for being original. There is no radio or center console. The seats are from a slightly older 2002, and in my opinion they are better. The headliner looks like new, and the sunroof does not seem to leak. The paint, body and exterior are in great shape. The car has been repainted, and it was done well. The paint/body aren't in perfect condition- it has small nicks, chips, scratches and the like, but it looks very nice for its age. There are no major dings or dents, and absolutely no body panel rust. As mentioned earlier, this is probably the most RUST-FREE 2002 you will find- it is clean and excellent even underneath where ALL 2002s are likely to rust. My 2002 has no known mechanical problems- it runs and drives great. The heater blower motor works (rare). Some of the aluminum trim along the sides is dented a bit, and the BMW emblems front and rear have some paint loss. The tires have good tread and the wheels are nice BMW aluminum rims. This car needs nothing to be a nice, reliable and fun daily-driver 2002. This is a great collector's car that is only increasing in value. This car is stored inside my building in Willoughby, OH.
