Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this very solid 1978 Cadillac Seville. I am the third owner of it. I have owned it since August of 2010. The man I bought it from owned it since 1987 and he bought it from the original owner. I bought this as a project car but due to a new job schedule that requires me to travel, I just don't have time to keep working on it. This car is SOLID! No flapping doors or fenders. The chrome on the bumpers is still in great shape. As you can see from the pics it is not perfect and will need some good TLC. The inside is in good shape but will need a good cleaning. The dash has a few cracks on the top and two of the tires have dry rot so they will need to be replaced soon. The seats have no tears or rips. This car has two rare options one being a power sunroof and the other is a 8-track CB radio. It does run rough which my mechanic says it will probably need a good tune-up. I replaced the in-tank fuel pump and had the tank drained. The car sat for a few years before I got it. I did drive the car up and down the street a few times, the tranny shifted good and the car seemed to have pretty good pick up speed. The rear brake line will need to be replaced. Also it will need a new passenger side door lock and a truck lock that was damaged during a theft attempt before I got the car. (note: I did buy a Cadillac crest emblem trunk lock cover but never put it on. You will get this as well.) I also have most of the repair paperwork from the previous owner and the owners manual plus I have a very nice and rare 79 Cadillac Seville electrical repair troubleshoot guide that will be thrown in as well. 78 and 79 are pretty much the same car. With a little work and a new paint job this car can be a great classic to take to some car shows. Most everything works on the car except what I noted below. Even the vintage digtal clock and the 8-track player still works which it is hard to find a working one on these old Caddy's. I did not test Cruise control or the rear defog. This car spent alot of its first 10 years in Arizona since the first owner had a house there and you can tell by how solid the outside and underneath of the car is. It has the 350 fuel injected gas engine which is one of the best engines Cadillac had at the time and much better then the engines that followed in the 80's. I have the right to end the auction at any time. The car is sold as is and has no warranty. I require $500 down through Paypal from the winning bidder. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions at all or need any more pics taken, Please let me know I will do my best to answer them. What I replaced: In-tank fuel pump, Fuel filter, Battery, Rubber gas lines, Two headlights, What does not work: The sunroof motor works but the glass needs some help to move. The radio antenna motor works but antenna mass does not move. The A/C compresser works but no cold air it might need a recharge. The right rear window goes down very slow.
