I present you with a very rare find indeed. This 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst is truly one of a kind. Equipped with a powerful 5.0 LT engine and an incredibly unique transmission with the famous 'Lighting Rod' shifters, this 15th anniversary Hurst/Olds is a true piece of muscle car history. The special thing about this car is its very low production number. Only 3001 Hurst/Olds were manufactured in the year of 1983. From proof of the plate id number right under the cowl, this car is number 158 out of 3001. From all my experience of researching the 1983 Hurst/Olds, I have never seen any other car with a lower production number, making this specific car truly a rare find. Along with the production number, the correct option code 'W-40' is also stamped on the cowl tag. The 1983 Hurst/Olds is up and coming, increasing in value every year so do not miss this opportunity!! Restore this one of a kind classic in time for the warm weather. Now for the details: The car does need to be restored but nothing major. The car runs and drives but needs new tires (one is flat), new paint, belts, headliner, the gauges to be looked at, and the carburetor to be adjusted. Other than that the car is very solid and ready for cruising. The interior is in great shape and the exhaust is brand new. This car is all original, numbers matching and shows all the correct features of a real Hurst/Olds such as lighting rod shifters, chrome wheels and air filter cover, correct vin number and production stamp (the wheels and air filter were painted over in silver by previous owner). The body and trunk are in great shape and very solid. The only issue of rust is on the lower area of the driver side door, which I have a complete replacement for. DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!!! I'm not exactly sure what the actual millage on the vehicle is because as I mentioned in the description, the gauges need to be checked out and this includes the odometer, which is currently not recording millage. This problem is common among older cars and usually does not require too much work to fix. As for the millage, the Carfax report on this vehicle shows around 121,00 miles 10 years ago, so I'm assuming there must be an addition 20,000 miles or so based on the driving behavior of the previous owner and the fact that it was mostly kept in storage.
