Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a used 1992 Ford Explorer, XLT (4X4). This has been a solid running vehicle for 19yrs. This SUV has spent most of its time in the northeast, therefore rust has penetrated the vehicle in various places. (Please see photos) The vehicle is being sold "AS IS" with no warranties. The vehicle would make a great parts truck, or would need a little TLC in order to get it ready for the road. The truck is being sold with "NO Reserve" because of the many repairs needed. I have done my best to outline all of the problems. Please see all of the photos and read the listing thoroughly before bidding. Engine: The engine is a 6 cylinder gas engine which stills runs fine but does have high mileage. It would need some basics maintenance items; surpentine belt, new fuids, oil change, tune up, etc. The (4x4) is a push button application but has been disconnected. The is one back plug that would need to be recoiled. The truck runs when jumped, but will need a new battery. Exterior: The exterior has scrathes, paint chipping, and rust damage in different locations throughout the vehicle. The interior floorboards are in decent shape, but the exterior wheel wells and panels have rust deterioration and holes. Also there is rust penetrating the roof near the window. The back bumber is bent, the truck was towed backwards and in bent the back bumber. The right side tail light was damaged and would need to be replaced. (Please see Photos) Interior: The interior is leather and is in pretty good condition for 19 yrs old. It certainly has normal wear but no large rips or tears. (See photos) The carpets are slightly soiled and would need to be vaccumed and cleaned good if you to keep the vehicle for personal use. Tires/Suspension: The tires have great tread, probably about 80%. The are set of Goodyear Wrangler series. The truck would probably need front wheel bearings, shocks.
