Vehicle Detail
1968 Ford Mustang Coupe This car was owned by a friend and her family prior to me buying it about 4 years ago. They bought it off the show room floor in 1968 and it is still very original with some improvements for safety that i added once I purchased the car. It has roughly 52,500 original miles on it and it runs great. Since i have owned it, I have had my shop mechanics go over every part of the car as it was a Sweet 16 present for my daughter. Well, now she is going off to college in the city and can't use the car so we are selling it along with two others in our collection. This car was painted metallic blue by the previous owner but it could use a new paint job if you are looking for a like new car. It is a little tired but certainly doesnt need to be painted unless you want a perfect car. The work that has been done on it includes all new brakes, tires, shocks, springs, sway bars to tighten the ride, exhaust system, top end engine rebuild with all new lifters, charging system, starter, battery, distributor, cables, electrical wiring upgrades, new stereo system and CD and IPOD capability, some custom powder coated rims added (but i still have original hub caps), and vinyl top is like new as well. The interior is black and in good condition but could use some minor freshing up. The body is in good shape, with no apparent rust although there is a small spot low on one side that looks like it may be suspect. If you are looking for a classic car that you can drive immediately without doing anything, this is the car for you. The exhaust system that i put on it gives off a nice throaty sound but not too loud. It drives straight and perfect down the road and is easy enough for a teenager to handle. All lights and dash systems work. The hood blinkers work too. Chrome is in good shape. This car is easily a $15k-$20k value but i am trying to clear out some cars from the garage so it is being priced to move. The other listings i have are for a 1982 Corvette Anniversary Addition that is in great condition, and a 1949 Hudson Commodore 8 that is a restoration project for someone. I have too many others underway. Thanks
