Vehicle Detail

I want to start off letting you know I am a diesel mechanic out of wyo-tech. Notice I have 100% feedback, and I have sold several vehicles before. I strive to describe everything I sell as accurately as possible and want to keep my feedback at 100%. I buy and sell vehicles to make money at times, but this truck was my own. I bought it a year and half ago and it has been my daily driver aside from when i was doing some work on it. First, what the truck is and what it has: it is a 1996 Ford F250 XLT, ext cab, 4x4 off road package, so yes, it does have the skid plates. This truck does have factory remote keyless entry with power locks, power windows, and a power driver seat. It has the bulletproof 7.3L powerstroke diesel. I don't need to say any more about that because I'm sure if you're looking at this truck, you know all about it. It is completely stock and has never been juiced or niggered to take away from it's long life. It has an automatic transmission and a manual shift on the floor for the four wheel drive (the only way to go with a tough truck bc autoshifts are junk and they break). Interior: this truck has an aftermarket cd player, pw, pl, power driver seat, cruise control. I custom installed a compass/temp with auto dimming rear view mirror. The driver seat had a small tear in the fabric, so I installed custom seat covers. It has custom molded rubber floormats, so they cover the entire floor under your feet and have a lip so they don't just let mud, water, snow, etc roll off onto the carpet. There is a crack on the dash on the passenger side. Other than this crack and the driver's seat having a rip, the interior is in excellent condition. There are no odors, etc. Onto the exterior: I have installed an after market complete front bumper replacement with brush guard and front hitch reciever. Very strong, and looks much better than Fords barely mounted chrome bumper that likes to sag down. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you're familiar with these body styles. The windows are tinted very dark which looks great on the white truck. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. There are a few scratches on the bed rails and in the bed of course. It is a 3/4 ton truck, and it has been used. All in all, the body and paint are in good shape. The clear coat is in good condition and no major blemishes to speak of. See the pictures. The truck is very clean underneath, little to no rust. I bought it out of colorado where they use sand, not salt. Bolts actually come apart with ease rather than having to be heated up, etc. The truck has dual fuel tanks. It has a removeable/hide-away gooseneck ball in the bed. There is a lever under the driver side near the front tank that pulls out, releasing the ball to pick out of a reciever tube and flip over to pin back in flush with the bed. Now what work I've done to this truck. I went through this truck from the front to the back without leaving one thing unattended. Like I said, this was my daily driver. I went through the engine with a gasket kit, checked every injector, all new glow plugs and glow plug relay, new engine block heater. It does not burn a drop, leake a drop, etc. Pops off everytime in an instant, even at single and negative digits without being plugged in. I've changed all the fluids and serviced the entire drivetrain. When I got into the front axle, I ordered new Warn lockouts for it. When I got further into it, the splines were wore pretty good, and I replaced the front axle altogether, but went ahead with the new lockouts since i had bought them already. I also replaced the entire steering column. It was loose inside the tilt wheel and had way too much play. I inspected and/or replaced the entire park brake system as I had a park brake light that would occasionally come on in the dash. For the life of me, I have not been able to eliminate that. It isn't very often, but with the cruise set, it can flicker on and turn off the cruise. It has to be electrical and I don't have a ford cpu. My scan tool doesn't pick up any problems. It has two new batteries, and a new lifetime warranty altenator. I rebuilt the tailgate latch, as it wasn't working when I purchased the truck. It is a hit the key and go truck. i would drive it across the country and back without hesitation and laugh at the new obama diesels that look like they're on fire when they blow smoke out the exhaust. I'm selling the truck because my family is expanding, and I'm going to buy a diesel excursion with a 7.3 to accomodate the family on trips. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping arrangements, but I assist where I can. I accept cash. Feel free to call, text, or email any questions you might have. If I don't answer, leave a message and I will get back to you. 785-656-2238. Thanks and good luck bidding.
