Up for auction is my 1972 Chevy Cheyenne. Not happy about it but I need the cash to finish our attic remodeling.I bought this in 2009 from a private seller. My intention was to have a great summer/fall driver and store it in winter.This truck has been great. Runs very well, very strong transmission, drives straight and sounds tough!Since owning I've rebuilt all the brakes and replaced the master cylinder. Installed a mini-starter to prevent hot starter issues (common problem), rebuilt the gas floats in the tank and installed new radial tires.There is minor rust in the usual spots (see photos) plus some small holes in the steel bed. Frame is in great shape! Trim work is dented probably from poor removal and reattaching.Overall she looks great, but up-close you can tell body work was not done with attention to details. If you plan on a show truck know she'll need attention!Pretty certain glass is original. Interior is okay, needs seat cover and carpet is worn and loose. Weatherstripping is original, pretty hard. Steering wheel not original. Heater linkage needs to be monkeyed with. Heater blows hot but the hoses aren't all attached properly. Wasn't a big deal for me as I only drove summers. Last minor issue is door handles aren't all attached.Engine is a v8 350, don't know if its original. Previous owner didn't know either. Does burn some oil and leaks a small amount as well from the oilpan. Air conditioner is available, just not attached. Will probably need Cab mounts replaced.I've put approx 2000 miles on it, mostly highway driving.
