Vehicle Detail
The bike you are looking at is an F650GS. This is the first year for the F650 twin. The previous F650's were single cylinders with 50 horses. The new twins which come in a 650 and an 800 both have an 800cc displacement but the 650 has 70 horses and the 800 has 90 horses. The 20 extra horse power on the 650 really makes this bike fun. It handles fantastic, looks great, has a lot of nice features and plenty of power for 2 up riding or carrying lots of gear when fitted with panniers. I had a few items added from BMW when I bought the bike that didn't come on the basic version. The center stand was added, heated grips, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and the computer which tells you how many miles are left on your tank, your average speed, your current miles to the gallon, your average mpg, and the ambient temperature. It also has a digital read out for the gear you are in, liquid temperature for the coolant, gas gage, a clock, 2 tripometers, and a timer. You can turn off the ABS for off-roading and turn it back on with a push of a button. The rear shock has adjustable rate dampening for riding with different loads. The mag wheels are also a plus. They are much easier to fix a flat than a tube type tire, besides being safer on the road. I have added a taller wind shield made by Cee Bailey. It is thicker and made out of aircraft grade acrylic. The seat is also upgraded to a Sargent saddle. It is highly more comfortable than the stock seat and has a nice little storage compartment under the seat. I installed a battery tender plug to keep the battery charged when not in use. The 6000 mile service was just done 2 weeks ago and there were some factory upgrades taken care of at that time. The BMW factory warranty does not end until October of 2011 so there is still 6 months left if anything were to go wrong. Not that it will because they are a great bike and built to last. If you need to have the bike shipped I highly recommend Eric Farmer. You can find him at: http://farmerstransporting.com/ or http://www.uship.com/ I'm sure you won't find a better shipping company. On May-03-11 at 19:22:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked a the question: Has the bike had any rust? Have you kept the maintenance records? Have the majority of miles been highway, city, or off road? I forgot to post my response so I'm soing it here. Answer:The bike has no rust and has never had any rust. I have all the maintenance records. I don't commute on my bikes I ride for pleasure. Yes, all the miles have been highway miles and I have never taken the bike off road. I was going to wait for the tires that came on the bike to wear out first since they are street tires. On May-04-11 at 19:33:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Some people are concerned about the title. The title is held by BMW Financing. When the bike is sold I will send the money to BMWFS, they will send me a clear title and I will send it on the the winner of the auction. I can send a bill of sale notorized stating I have relinquished the ownership of the bike. Check out my feedback if you still feel uncomfortable. I am not on ebay trying to become a criminal by keeping a title on something I have sold.
