w 1969 Beetle Convertible New 1600 cc Engine New Paint ,New Convertible top and New Interior. Hello and Welcome to my auction. I am not going to waste a lot of time going over every detail . The pictures and video will show much more then I could ever say. I will touch on the most important details. The car has a brand new 1600 cc engine that has been rebuilt and all spark plug wires, distributor as well as the distributor cap, points and rotor , coil and everything else was replaced to make this a mechanicly sound and well running car. We did not just stop with the motor . The transmission was tore apart checked and reassembled and is in excellent working order backed up by a new clutch and shifter.The brakes have been all replaced including the master cylinder and all the rubber and metal lines. This is a get in and go car and should need nothing but a new owner . I just drove the car back from San Francisco a week or so ago at around 55 mph and it ran like a top and didn't miss a beat on a 250 mile trip . It was absolute blast with the top down sun shining and cost me less then $20.00 in fuel . Next the paint was completely redone only a week ago as it was not up to par and instead of just touching it up I had it professionally completely repainted. I would consider this a show and shine quality or a high driver .The paint is truelly beautiful and the pictures dont show how shinny the paint is or how deep the color red is, but again not show quality and for those who maybe confused a show quality paint job is a paint job that is perfect in each and every way with little to no imperfecections and it comes at a cost . Those type paint jobs alone will run you $6,000.00 .I build cars that are driven and look very nice and are affordable .I don't normally mention price but but I have seen others selling locally and on other websites as well as ebay in the same or slightly under this car for $8,500.00 .all the time . I am opening this up with an extremely low reserve but I am not giving it away . I just spent $2,000.00 on the paint job and additional $1,000.00 in tires and rims as well as some other add ons . I will now finish with just giving you a few of the new parts if you did not notice them in the video or pictures. There is new bumpers front and back new gravel guards front and back ,new running boards, new mirrors not pictured ,new front windshield and rubber seal ,new chrome moldings ,new door panels , new factory correct seat covers in basketweave . I also have a brand new dash not pictured ,new battery ,new exhaust that sounds awesome . I can go on and on here, if you need more clarification you can set up an appointment to come view the car or have an independent inspector come in your place prior to the end of auction . Terms .No Deposit but a phone call at the end of auction is your deposit .Final payment can be made by bank wire transfer , bank certified check over nighted on no later then Monday morning . If your out of the country you will need to send payment by bank wire transfer only and it also needs to be made in 24 hours of auctions end . It takes up to a week for an International wire to clear my bank. If your in the lead the day the auctions end you need to contact me if you will not be available.I give one hour from end of auction to contact me or the car will be relisted or a second chance offer will be accepted. I expect full payment no more then 72 hours from auctions end . I am very easy to deal with and if you take the time to check out my feedback you will see I take this very seriously and my goal is to make sure you are happy with your purchase. I would rather either not sell the car at all or at a lower price then have any unhappy buyers. I cant speak for other beetles but this one had 100s of hours of work done and if all labor was added up well over $10,000 invested.This is a an as is sale and all sales are final . My reserve was $7,000.00 and for a beetle convertible in this condition that is a steal . You could not buy a older restoration with chipped and scratched paint with many miles on the motor and a convertible top with wear for where the bidding is at this point of $4,800.00. In my opinion that is project price and barely covers the convertible top,rims and the paint job , were not even talking the car yet and there is over $4800.00 invested .
