1986 300 SDL This is a beautiful, low mileage, well maintained and cared for 300SDL. Mechanical This model has the six cylinder engine with hydraulic lifters which is a giant improvement over the five cylinder motor in the earlier models. The engine has more power, a wider power band, increased top speed and smother performance overall. This car is quite, powerful and can cruise at freeway speeds all day long with no effort. The transmission shifts perfectly with no slipping or hard shifts, and has recently been serviced. The brakes, steering and suspension all operate like new. The A/C blows cold, the heater blows hot and all of the vents operate as they should. This car has the option of operating on diesel, biodiesel or vegetable oil or any combination of the three. Average miles per gallon is between 30 and 35 on any of the fuel choices. Exterior The body is in near perfect condition and does not appear to have ever been in an accident. The original dark blue paint looks like new with only very minor chips and no oxidization or fading. Interior The palomino interior is in almost perfect condition with no damage and very little wear. All of the switches, gauges, mirrors, seats, sunroof, antenna, etc. operate properly. This is a great example of exceptional German engineering and how perfect a car can be if properly maintained and cared for.
