This is a very nice original very low mileage Chevelle with a 283 v 8 and a 2 speed transmission. it has been repainted (enamel) the original color. It is not the greatest paint job when you look closely. I have seen worse but over all not too bad of a job. I bought this car off a co-worker who was not really knowledgable or even cared about antique cars. It was his father in laws, who purchased it new in N. Carolina as a second car. He rarely drove it and for some reason would not part with it. He passed away in 2002 and my coworker inherited it. He drove it up here and parked it in his garage and only drove it a few hundred miles. I in turn purchased it last year because he was moving to Florida and really had no use for the car. I had to replace all the brake wheel cylinders and the master cylnder from sitting. I had the carburaetor rebuilt and all the fuel system cleaned. My mechanic did a complete tune up on it. I told him to drive it to work for a few days to see what he thought about the mechanical condition of the car. His response was it rides and drives like a car with 40k miles on it. He was amazed. The car has always been garage kept. There were some pin hole rust spots in the trunk because moisture got between the trunk mat. I had this repaired and coated with an expensive rust preventive paint. Other than that the car is solid. Never driven in winter or on pot holed northern roads.. The interior is in good shape. The drivers side bench seat is torn. Eckleys Chevelle has the seat cover for $275.00 The headliner has some mildew in it but is not torn or sagging. I am sure it can be cleaned.The dash is perfect, no cracks. The carpet is in good shape (some fading) The am radio works. The dealer installed air conditioner does not work. I have driven the car about 11 hundred miles. I drove to VA beach and the car ran perfect. The winning bidder will be able to drive it home. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks,
