TAX TIME SPECIAL!!!! Up for grabs here is a 1976 Dodge Dart with a Slant Six Super Six. When was the last time you saw a 76 Dart that wasn’t a Sport version? This car isn’t a 340 Dart Swinger I grant you, but it is rare in it’s own right. I’ve been in the Mopar hobby for over 20 years, and I have yet to see one like this, this year. I will tell you in great detail about this car, and all the money I have invested in it. I do have almost every receipt to prove the work was done. ‘ BODY, WHEELS, TIRES, ETC. : Wiper seal post kit / Sandblast, primer, & paint rims / roof rail seals, door seals, trunk seals, trunk mat, & insulation / Legendary Brand seat cover / Floor sound deading pad / Carpet / Dual exhaust with chrome tips & mini-turbo mufflers. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION: Engine completely rebuilt with all new internals on top and bottom. Head was shaved .80 & engine bored .30 over. A mild Erson Cam was installed. A Super Six intake & carb was purchased off of Ebay. New Hoses, belts, alternator, starter, water pump, voltage regulator, Accel coil, plugs, wires, etc. If it could be gotten new, it was. The air conditioner was serviced with all new gaskets & seals. The compressor was a remanufactured unit converted to 134. System was pressure checked, and held. The transmission was completely went through by a professional trans shop. The trans was cleaned, inspected, new seals placed, and torque converter pressure checked. A new filter and fluid was installed. DRIVETRAIN, SUSPESION, BRAKES, ETC.: New Shocks, U-Joints / Brakes pads & shoes, drums, rotors, bearings & seals, lines, hardware kits, master cylinder, calipers / Complete polygraphite front end kit from P.S.T. (Performance Suspension Technology) / The tires in the pictures are BF Goodrich. The ones that will be on the car are Stinger Radials, white raised letters, 235-60s. They actually are brand new, so they are better than what is in the pictures. I would sell the car with the BF Goodrich’s on it for a little bit more . MISC: WHAT THIS CAR NEEDS: The paint and body definitely need work. There are no major dents or rust damage, but it’s not perfect. The only noticeable damage is the rust behind each rear wheel on the quarters. There is a small hole in the drivers side floor board about the size of a silver dollar. The vinyl roof is cracking as well. The air conditioner compressor is turned on by a toggle switch. There is a short of some sort with the dash panel that controls this. The air/heat fan switch is toggle as well. You can hook it up, but it blows a fuse after about 20 minutes. That is the only wire damage that I know of. The air conditioner is cool, but not cold. I have never known of a 12 to 134 that was. My brother and I drove this car to the Mopar Nationals in 2009 with the air on both to and from. It was very comfortable. Even though the system was checked, I had to add one can of Freon to it at the beginning of 2010. I put the kind with the leak sealer in it, but never saw any leaks. I’m thinking it fixed it considering it worked the entire summer of 2010. The biggest problem with this car is the carburetor needs to be rebuilt & adjusted. It starts and runs just fine, but does have a dead spot when you mash down on it. Nothing major, but you can tell it.The hood is slightly bent, but I do have an additional hood that comes with the car. I am selling this car mainly because I need the money, plus I have too many cars. I invested way too much money in this car thinking I was going to keep it. I ended up finding a better love, and this one got pushed aside. I have invested almost $10,000 dollars in this car, and have almost every receipt to prove the work or parts are on it. Most of the parts are new. The suppliers include: O’Reileys, Autozone, Advanced Auto, Legendary Interiors, Year One, The Paddock, JC Whitney, Ebay, Summit, and Dantes Parts. I have described everything I can think of that this car needs or has had done. As mentioned in the previous description, the wheels you see on the car are ralleys with bf goodrich tires. the tires that will come on the car are white lettered radial 235 60s. They are on ralley wheels as well. The trim rings in the pics are different as well. The car is not perfect, and still needs some work as described. I'm trying to be completely honest as I can about the description and what this car needs. It's definitely worth the money considering what I have invested. I hope the additional pictures help.
