1996 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE "LIMITED" 3 DAY AUCTION WITH NO RESERVE ---a portion of this sale will be donated to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund--- Up for sale is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee "Limited" with 175K miles. Sorry but the pictures were taken with my cell phone and they are not of the greatest quality. This Jeep does have some issues so make sure you read the full description. It's finished in a green paint with a tan leather interior. Has the 5.2L V8 motor with an automatic transmission and four wheel drive. This is the "Limited" model so it comes with all the options including power windows, power locks, power seats, power mirrors, power sunroof, leather seats, am/fm/cd stereo, alloy wheels, tow package with hitch and more. It also looks as if it has an aftermarket upgraded roof rack and an upgraded intake. This Jeep does have some issues so please read on. The paint and body are in decent shape. Really no rust that I can see. The front bumper has a small crack in it and hangs down a little on the right side because one of the tabs in broken. The drivers side headlight is a little loose and needs to be screwed in or mounted better. The drivers side door shuts but doesn't want to shut all the way because one of the hinges needs repair. Wheels and tires are in nice shape. Tailgate is sometimes hard to open. The interior is pretty rough and needs a real good cleaning. Drivers side leather seat is really worn bad. Carpet needs a good cleaning. I can't explain every little thing thats wrong with the interior but it does have a lot of little minor things wrong like; am/fm/cd headunit is a little loose and needs to be mounted better and I am not sure if all the speakers work, power locks stick on some of the doors, window switches on the rear doors are broke, missing some trim pieces like plastic tailgate cover and a few others, I don't know if the sunroof switch works but I think it does, no clue if the AC blows cold cause I haven't tested it in a while, I am sure there are some dash lights on and I might be missing something but those are the biggest issues. The Jeep starts right up and runs 100%. Motor and transmission are in great shape. When driving there is a grinding noise coming from the front. It sounds like it is coming from one of the front wheels and if I had to guess I would say it's a broken cv axle. I can't be for sure but thats my guess. You can still drive the Jeep but I would definitely get that fixed before you drive it a long distance. It also pulls a little to the right so it could use an alignment to. Motor and transmission run great so get that grinding noise fixed and you will have a nice running Jeep that just needs a little cosmetic TLC.
