These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 1969 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE RAM AIR AND A/C CAR WITH POWER WINDOWS! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory Options: 1) Power steering 2) Power DISC brakes up front 3) Dual exhaust 4) Power Convertible top 5) Hood tachometer 6) Bucket seats w/console 7) 400ci V8 with ADDED Ram Air setup 8) Automatic Transmission 9) Power windows 10) Hideaway headlights 11) Remote Mirror 12) Rally II wheels (15") 13) Air Conditioning (parts removed but all included) The car comes from Ohio. I've had it for about 4-5 months now and have been redoing the car a little at a time. It was pretty straight and solid to begin with, but I decided to take it up a notch. Body was repainted within the last 2 months with PPG type base/clear coat. The power convertible top was not working so I had the motor checked, harness and switch replaced and it now works perfectly. Interior was very shabby, so we installed NEW seat covers all around and NEW chrome piping for the bucket seats, along with NEW carpeting and NEW dash pad. I also put on a nice set of factory 15" Pontiac Rally II wheels with nice matched radial tires. Engine compartment was also been detailed with some new paint, new valve covers and Ram Air air cleaner setup and looks fantastic! Mechanically i've just tuned the car a bit and adjusted the carburetor. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats have been reupholstered and are NEW. Carpet is NEW. Dash pad is NEW. Door panels in good shape. Console very nice with NEW compartment cover. Nice steering wheel. Just needs some minor odds and ends. Overall a beautifully presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies the stock MATCHING NUMBERS 400ci V8 motor with added Ram Air setup. It has been upgraded with full headers, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock 4bbl. performance carburetor and minor internal modifications (I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL INTAKE MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WHICH ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR). Starts easily and sounds great with minor exhaust leak. Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now, just tune it the way you want and do minor tlc and you're ready to go. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, and a few times on the highway on the way to a local cruise night or car show, never on any long trips. Underneath, the car has just some minor surface rust from regular use throughout the years, but appears very nice and dry with SOLID frame and good floors/trunk without any major issues that I was able to spot. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up WELL with good luster for a nice driver (NOT a showcar of course) Some very minor imperfections like a couple of small runs here and there and the like since this is not a $20k paintjob. Rear bumper should be replaced/rechromed. Not working: tach (not hooked up), hideaway lights (probably need new vacuum lines at least), a couple of lights may need new bulbs, horn (not hooked up), radio (not hooked up but I HAVE ORIGINAL RADIO!). Windows work up and down but very slow and need track adjustments (switches stick a little), air conditioning (not hooked up but most if not all parts there). Hood had some minor welding work on left side in the past. Missing: small cowl screens and perhaps a couple of other small things. Trunk pan was replaced at one time but welding work to fit new pan could have been done better, still solid though. Slow tranny leak by main seal. Minor exhaust leak on passenger side I believe. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. VEHICLE WILL NEED MINOR FINISHING UP AND RESTORATION DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH IT, SO PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER WITH MINOR TLC. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT WITH THE TOP DOWN AND ENJOY THE WEATHER AND FINISH RESTORING IT AS YOU SEE FIT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A MATCHING NUMBERS 1969 GTO CONVERTIBLE WITH ADDED RAM AIR AND LOTS OF OPTIONS!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
