WELCOME TO ANOTHER "NO RESERVE" AUCTION !! ORIGINAL RESTORATION OR RAT ROD PROJECT PACKARD!! This running 1954 PACKARD CLIPPER has had the same owner since 1979 and is totally original inside and out, down to the factory radio. Also included are the original Black license plates as listed on the title and shown on the car. This Packard has been in storage since the early 90's, when it was last driven. This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. I do have a few bidder requirements at the bottom of the page, please read them and the entire listing BEFORE placing your bid. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, this Packard is still running and in it's original factory state, but it is not a museum piece and will need restored. Please view the detailed pics as there is some rust repair needed in the usual spots- around both wheel wells, below the passenger tail light and a spot on the trunk lid (see pics). The floors and undercarriage are very solid and very clean. There is only sandable surface "sun" rust on the decks. There are 2 dents, one on the driver 1/4 panel under the bumper end and another on the passenger rear door (see pics), other than that the car is very straight. Tail lens and 1 grill lens need replaced. All glass is intact and looks original. Bumpers are straight and will need rechromed as will most of the chrome trim pieces on the car. Doors open and shut solid, no hang or drag. The interior is completely intact and has all original equipment and fabric but will obviously need redone. The seat frames, springs, etc are all in good shape. The original radio is still in the car! Mechanically, this Clipper has the original running Thunderbolt 8 engine and transmission. When we brought it out of our storage, I had new sparkplugs, wires, points and condensor installed and the carburator rebuilt. The engine fires right up and sounds very good and is very smooth. I do not have the air cleaner assembly but am trying to locate it. Because of the extended period in storage, I have it running off a feeder tank under the hood so I would advise doing a complete gas tank and fuel system flush. Due to the length of time in storage, I also note that the water pump has frozen and the battery and master cylinder will need replaced before driving. I have in hand the clean and clear California title/ownership certificate on this Packard. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base.
