This is a 1975 Mercedes 280 S for sale. It belonged to my father in law and he recently passed away and I was put in charge of selling this car. I will tell you all that I know about it but please contact me with any specific questions; I have not drove this car much and can only tell you what I know. From my research the car was built in Stuttgart and imported by an individual from Germany to the U.S. The VIN listed is correct but I believe the car was not intended for the US Market and therefore the VIN cannot be used to retrieve the vehicle report. The body and paint is in very good condition with a few blemishes. The interior is all original and overall in really good condition with only a couple of small places in the front seats (see pictures), the original Becker Radio is also there and works. The odometer shows 226, 787 miles but the drive train runs good and the engine was rebuilt in 1993. I have a lot of the original paperwork and maintenance records from previous owners. The car runs and drives great. The Good: Overall this is a very good car, especially for a Mercedes enthusiast and from my research, a great deal for the reserve price that I am asking. The bad: It has a crack in the windshield, the passenger front power window needs adjustment as it will go down but is hard to get back up. . This is a carbureted car so it has to warm up a minute or two before driving but after that it runs and drives great. The car is sold as is and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
