Vehicle Detail

Hi, thanks for stopping by to look at my Mercedes. Before you go any further, the car will start and drive, but, the head gasket is blown, if you're still interested here is the low down. The good: I bought it last year and shipped it over from California, so it is completely rust free with original paint, the clear coat has faded on the hood and in front of the sunroof. I had the transmission rebuilt and a full service at Evandro Motor Tech, in Long Island City, who are local Porsche/German car specialists. I also had the upper steering arms and bushes replaced, plus new tires. I've generally tinkered with the engine; done valve adjustments twice, installed new Bosio injectors, replaced hoses, replaced coolant expansion tank, greased all the linkages, new air, oil and fuel filters, even the one up by the fuel tank, new fuel pump. All the electric windows and sunroof work. Took it out of winter storage once all the snow had gone and up until last week I was driving it regularly. The bad: The head-gasket went last week, as soon as the temp guage hit red I turned the motor off and got her towed, so there is no serious damage to the engine. Late last year I broke the key in the ignition, while I have the replacement parts (photo), I have not got round to installing it, so I've been starting it manually under the dash. Works fine as a work around. Unfortunately I've lost the door key over winter, however, I got in touch with Mercedes classic in Irvine, CA and they can supply a replacement set of keys according to the VIN number, it's $50. I had to pull the trunk lock out last week, but this open and closes fine manually, you just can't lock it. Why am I selling it? Because I'm too busy, I'll never get all the restoration work done this summer and it'll end up sitting in the yard when someone could be fixing it up and enjoying the ride. Any questions please contact me. Thanks and good luck!
