The engine is the same as an Austin Mini 1098cc. This 4 cylinder 1098cc, water-cooled, overhead valve engine has 45 brake horse power at 5,100 rpm, single SU Carburetor. It has a 4 speed manual transmission and 12 volt electrics. The front has an independent suspension with wishbones, coil springs and shock absorbers. The rear suspension has semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers and stabilizing bar. The brakes are Lockheed hydraulic drums. This is a right side drive vehicle. The car drives well and the transmission is great. The clutch is good and it shifts through all gears smoothly. The brakes require attention as the front passenger wheel cylinder is leaking. The vehicle is being sold with a disc brake conversion that needs to be installed. The parking brake works extremely well . The car starts right up, idles smoothly, and does not smoke.
