I am selling my moms 2001 Honda Civic LX. She moved on to something else and has no need for the car anymore. The car was purchased by her from the Honda dealer in 2001 and she has been the only owner during its whole lifetime. The car has always been adult driven. All maintenance was always dealer performed and the car shows it despite having 196900 miles. It was garaged all it's life. But please keep in mind that a 10 year old car shows wear and scratches here and there. Yet, I would describe this car to be easily above average condition. In October of 2008 the Honda dealer had put in a new automatic transmission which runs great and is still under warranty. The transmission was put in less than 20000 miles ago. All receipts will be transferred to the new owner. During it's lifetime it also recently received a new AC compressor and the usual things that need replacing after a while. Timing belt was changed at 180000 miles. So there is nothing that needs immediate attention. New oil change and air filter performed at 196000 miles. The engine runs great. It is very good on gas and starts in every kind of weather. The interior is clean. There were no kids in this car. Also, this is a non smoker vehicle. It also has power windows, power mirrors, power steering, cruise control, original radio cassette. Everything works like new. No rust. The only thing that is not Honda original is the catalytic converter. Back in 2009 she had an aftermarket converter installed and that made the car a bit louder at certain rpm's (1100-1200 RPM) but it doesn't inhibit it's performance or reliability in any way.CARFAX or similar providers might show an accident report. Icy conditions caused a dent in the fender and bumper. The damage was light and professionally repaired. It was an insurance claim and that is why it shows up on the record.The front tires should be replaced before winter comes.
