Vehicle Detail

Here's the story on this car.....We bought it from a dealer in Detroit in October 2010 that deals mainly in foreign luxury cars. He had this one because a Ford Dealer friend of his locally had called him to come look at it, to see if he would like to consider it for his lot, because not only is it in next to new condition, but it is loaded with every option you could get as of the build date(satellite radio and navigation became available later in the model year, and it has Shaker 500 Stereo). We bought it for my 15 year old daughter to learn to drive with her 'learners permit', so when she turned 16, she would be familiar with the car she was being let loose with on the roads. We were going to buy a new Mustang originally, but she loves this color, and was disappointed when she realized that Ford didn't make it now, so I looked around to find the best one I could. Everything else we have in the family is an SUV or Truck, and that's really all we've ever had in her lifetime, so once she started driving a car, she realized she preferred to 'sit up high', so any driving she has been doing has been in one of our other vehicles. I really do appreciate her honesty, because I think most 15 year olds would probably fake it to get to keep a Mustang convertible : ) I definitely don't want my 15 year old driving something she feels any less than comfortable in, so I decided it was best not to keep it. So, the car has been sitting under a cover in our driveway since October, and has only been driven a total of 905 miles since we purchased it, including the 570 mile drive home to WV the day we bought it. It's been driven just a little over a hundred miles(to just keep things lubricated, etc) between 11-13-10 and now, because I have some pictures on my camera from 11-13 that I had taken(there is an odometer shot), because I was going to put it up for sale then, but I decided to wait until Spring when it would be more appropriate weather to sell a convertible. It hasn't been driven in any type of moisture since we got it, and in fact, I HAVEN"T EVEN HAD TO WASH IT. I just use a California type duster on it every couple weeks and some detail spray. To take these pictures on April 17th, all I did was wipe the wheels off and put on some tire dressing. I haven't even touched the inside...the way you see it in the pictures is the way we received the car. I would literally put the condition of this car up against any Mustang in the country that has 10,000 miles on the clock. I think you would be impressed with the condition, both physically and mechanically. This color combination is THE BEST on a Mustang convertible. I got home late at night with it when we bought it....the next day we were outside and all the neighbors thought it was brand new! Below, I will try to give as much detail as I can on options, condition, etc. Anything I don't cover to your satisfaction please be sure to let me know, and I will get right back with you in a reasonable timeframe. This car stickered for over 30,000.00 with options when new: 5 speed auto: 995.00 Leather: 695.00 Pony Package: 750.00 Interior Upgrade Package: 460.00 Side/Front Airbags: 380.00 Remote Start: 250.00 Comfort Group: 575.00 ABS & Traction Control: 775.00 Anti Theft: 325.00 Base Price: 25070.00 Destination: 745.00 Total New Sticker Price: 31,020.00 You will notice the car has dual exhausts as opposed to a single exhaust that V6 Mustangs normally have.....the dealer I bought it from took it to his exhaust guy to install brand new dual exhausts because he said he couldn't stand that, as he put it, 'wimpy looking skinny tailpipe hanging down there'. He said he wanted to give it the look it deserved, even if it cost him on profit margin. His exhaust shop is definitely professional, and it shows in their work(see pics). The cutout for the exhaust on the driver's side they did looks exactly like it is factory. He had them install Flowmaster mufflers, just as a little extra, but I thought they were too loud, and he offered me the stock mufflers to go back on the car since they were in good shape. I told him I'd just drive it home with the Flowmasters to see what my daughter thought, and a few days later I was at our local shop to get 2 OEM type mufflers put on : ) I have the Flowmasters that have approximately 600 miles on them and I'll include them both for 100.00 if the buyer wants them....they are around 100.00 each most anywhere. They already have 20.00 chrome exhaust tips on them too. As far as the mileage on the car goes, here's why it is a little high....I didn't personally verify this with the previous owner, but the dealer I bought it from said his friend the Ford Dealer, which is in Troy, MI had it traded in on another Mustang(the customer is a regular of his), and the person that owned it lived in Algonac, MI. The owner supposedly only used it in the Spring/Summer of the year, but had a 50-60 mile one way drive to work everyday in Detroit. At just 100 miles a day x 5 days...500 miles a week, just for commuting, it would add up pretty quickly. If they only used it 7 months(30 weeks)a year at 500 miles a week, that's 15000 per year....so, 4 years(07,08,09,10) at 15000 per year is 60,000 miles just commuting! I point all this out, not to be elementary about it, but to show some of the rationale behind why I felt comfortable purchasing it for my 15 year old daughter(that I'm way too overprotective of, according to her : ) You can see from the pictures of underneath the car that there are no leaks or damage of any kind whatsoever, and there isn't as much as one drop of any kind of fluid on our driveway where the car has been sitting in the same spot every night for over 6 1/2 months. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's (A/S). Things like the kind of money someone spends on tires tells you a lot about how a car has been maintained....the tires easily have 80-85% of the tread remaining. I have close-up shots of the brake calipers showing the new springs/clips where the car has had a very recent brake job on all 4 corners. The convertible top is in great shape, and I have used top conditioner on it twice since we've had it to keep it supple and clean. This car was definitely garage kept, because there is no kind of paint fade, interior/dash fade or top fade you would normally see if it weren't kept out of the elements. We have had it under a cover every night since the second night we brought it home. The interior pictures speak for themselves....the carpet is as next to new as you could POSSIBLY get....I can't overstate this. The floor mats even look 90% new. It has obviously been a non-smoker from day one, because there's not even a hint of ANY kind of negative smell. All the seats are virtually perfect with only 1 small blackish scuff mark on the back side of the front passenger seat(no rip or material abrasion)that would probably come off with some cleaner, but it is so minor I haven't even thought about it, and you can only see it when the seat is leaned forward. On the driver's side door armrest, on the window switch panel, there is a little scuffing(see pics)that looks like it was probably caused by someone wearing rings and rubbing against the panel. Most people wouldn't even notice either of these things. If you wanted to make it perfect, a replacement can be bought on ebay for 25.00-40.00. These 2 issues are very minor, but I feel the need to point them out, however insignificant they may seem. The exterior is in outstanding shape as well, and there are only a couple little dings to mention....most people wouldn't even notice these either, due to the size of them and the color of the car. I tried to get them to show up in pictures, but really couldn't. One is on the driver's rear fender lip...looks like someone opened their door into it lightly. There is a very small ding on the passenger side, just behind the door, I think it is. Again, very minor things, and a paintless dent repair tech could get these out real easy if someone saw the need....I don't think you would bother though, they are that minor. The worst part of the exterior is a scuff that you can't even see unless you are kneeled or lying down on the ground(see pics) . It is on the driver's front at the bottom of the 'air dam'/bumper cover. Again, not noticeable, and an easy do-it-yourself fix, but I wanted to point out everything. The wheels are in good condition with the only real issue being where there have been 2 or 3 sets of tires installed on the car over time, and there is some rash here and there where the wheel weights have been. One of the wheels(the one currently on the driver's rear)looks like someone has started to clean it one time with something abrasive (maybe a brillo pad) and then realized what they were doing, because it has some light hairline scratches in the paint...only noticeable close-up, and may come out with some compound, but again I want to mention it. I have a ton of pictures, and I think ebay will only let me upload 20 or 24, so I have included a link below to around 200 pictures I have taken now and back in November...should be everything there you could possibly want to see. Maybe a little overkill, but I want the person that buys it to feel as comfortable with the car as I do. I have bought and sold several cars on ebay and I have 100% Feedback, so bid with confidence. Please don't bid if you have recent negative Feedback or a Feedback of 10 or below. If you do have a Feedback below 10, or are just new to ebay, please contact me before bidding. You can do that through ebay or by calling me at 304-784-6680, leave a message if no answer, and I'll get back with you. I reserve the right to cancel any bid at any time if I feel there is just cause. This car will not be pulled off of ebay at the last minute if I don't think I am getting what I want or need to get. I'm just wanting to list the car one time, and I'm listing it at a substantial loss. I am setting a VERY reasonable opening bid, and whatever it brings above that is up to the bidders. I am starting the auction at current NADA ROUGH TRADE VALUE. ONE BID GETS IT. I have a clear title in hand. This is THE BEST MUSTANG FOR THE MONEY ANYWHERE! Thanks for reading my longwinded descriptions, and I hope they help emphasize what an opportunity this is to get a car this good for a price this low, especially when you compare it to what else is out there in the marketplace. CLICK THIS LINK FOR PICTURES: http://s1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb347/122766/?albumview=slideshow After browsing through the pictures today, I wanted to add one more point of emphasis about the interior specifically.....The carpeting and floor mats are even cleaner than they look in the pictures.....they both are as close to new as you can get in a pre-owned automobile. The light angles, nap being brushed to one side or the other, etc, casts shadows and plays with the camera a little bit. 4-25-11 After several phone calls and emails concerning the car, I have added the 'Buy-it-Now' option. NADA Average Condition TRADE Value is 13,000.00 and Clean TRADE Value is 14000.00. It's priced around 1000.00 LESS than Edmunds.com Private Party 'CLEAN' Value, and about 1800.00 LESS than Edmunds 'OUTSTANDING' Value. It would classify in the Outstanding column.
