Vehicle Detail

2001 BMW 740i M-SPORT ***A portion of this sale will be donated to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund*** Up for sale is my 2001 BMW 740i M-Sport with 119,000. This is a two-owner BMW that I have owned for the past 4 years. I have sunken a lot of time and money into this BMW. Over the past 6 months I have spent $3000+ at the dealer and another $2000+ at a local BMW performance shop. It's finished in a titanium metallic silver paint with a black leather interior. It has the 4.4L V8 (282hp) with the Step-tronic automatic transmission with manual shift mode. This is the rare M-Sport model so it comes fully loaded with all the options including power everything (locks, windows, seats, mirrors, sunroof), heated seats, dual zone climate controls, woodgrain trimmed interior, Harmon Kardon stereo system with 14 speakers and a 6 disc changer, 7" navigation screen with GPS DVD changer, Xenon HID headlights and foglights, factory integrated Motorola Star-Tac cell phone, rain sensing wipers, front and side airbags with head protection system, full size 18" spare and much more. The M-Sport option consists of 18" BMW M-Parallel wheels (18X9.5 rear and 18X8 front) with Michelin Pilot high performance tires, color matched side skirts and mouldings, aggressive suspension (springs lower car 0.08", springs are 25% firmer and larger anti-roll bar), tighter fitting seats, Step-tronic automatic transmission with manual shift mode, Dynamic Stability Control and a larger navigation screen. The M-Sport package also has a shorter final drive ratio for quicker acceleration and a torque converter with a higher stall speed for a quicker jump off the line. The M-Sport package was a $3000+ option from the dealer that had to be special ordered. This BMW had a MSRP off the showroom floor of around $70,000 and the current NADA Blue Book value is around $14,000-$15,000... I have spent thousands making this BMW what it is. Recent dealer work includes: new ABS module, new Mass Air sensor, new Crank Case Ventilation Valve, new fuel pump and sender unit, new air pump and tube, new pressure hoses, new general module computer and new hood shocks. I spent over $3000 at the dealer. I also had a local BMW performance shop do some work. First they replaced the whole braking system with slotted/cross drilled rotors and carbon pads all the way around. They replaced the factory headlight HID bulbs with 8000K PIAA bulbs, upgraded the foglights with new lenses and replaced the bulbs with yellow HID PIAA bulbs, all corner lights and turn signals have been replaced with Euro clear corners with PIAA HID bulbs and backup bulbs have been replaced with PIAA HID bulbs. All badges (hood, trunk and wheel center caps) have been replaced with BMW carbon fiber badges. All floor mats have been replaced with factory BMW mats and all carpet in the trunk has been replaced. Spare tire has also been replaced with a full size 18" BMW M-Parallel wheel. Overall this BMW is in great shape. Most E38 (1995-2001 BMW 7 series model) BMW's you will find out there are ragged out. Not this one. Paint and body are in great shape with no body damage, dents or rust. This BMW is accident free. About 2 years ago someone keyed my hood and left front fender. I took it to Performance Auto Body here in MD to have the hood and fender repainted. There was a crack in the front bumper so I had that replaced too. The only paint work ever done on this car was the repainting of the hood, front bumper and left front fender. The paint looks great on the entire vehicle. I wash and wax it regularly. The only scratches I could find on the entire vehicle are on the back of the rear bumper. There's a couple of small nicks and small scratches which I would assume are from people parking too close. Looking up and down the side of the car you won't see any scratches, dings or dents. The 18" BMW M-Parallel wheels are in great shape with a couple of minor scrapes only on the lip of the wheels from normal everyday driving. All tires are matching Michelin Pilot MXM4's ( 255/45-18 rear and 235/50-18 front). All BMW badges have been replaced with BMW carbon fiber badges (round badge on hood, round badge on trunk, all 4 BMW center caps, all 4 valve caps and the 740i badge has been replaced with a 760i badge). All lights on the car have been upgraded with PIAA bulbs. Open the doors and you will find a beautiful black leather interior. Carpet is extra clean with no stains and the floor mats are brand new. Leather seats are in excellent shape. Very little wear on the drivers side seat. No holes or big cracks. All panels, dash and trim are in great shape. No lights on the cluster and all pixels work 100%. All power options work great. It has the Harmon Kardon stereo with 14 speakers and a 6 disc changer in the trunk. Stereo sounds amazing! Navigation is the upgraded unit with the 7" screen and the GPS DVD changer in the trunk. Interior looks great on this BMW. The only wear on the interior of this BMW is the headliner. There are some small stains and spots on the headliner. If you ever wanted to have the headliner replaced it cost around $150. You would have to be one picky person to have it replaced! Open the hood and you will find the powerful 4.4L V8 (282hp). I have spent over $3000 in the past 6 months making this BMW run perfect. Oil has always been changed with Mobil 1 synthetic. In the past 6 months I have had the car fully tuned (plugs, wires and every other imaginable tune-up part), full transmission service, replaced the following: new battery, new CCVV (crank case ventilation valve), new mass-air sensor, new fuel pump and sender unit, new abs module, new general module computer, new air pump and hoses, new pressure hoses and more. Also had the brake system upgraded and they replaced the hood hinges and shocks. This BMW starts right up and purrs like a kitten. Runs 100% with no issues. Transmission shifts perfect and the manual mode shifts like you would want a 5 speed to shift. All around a perfect running 740 that needs nothing!!! If you have any questions about my BMW please feel free to call me at (443)-924-1613. I am free anytime to answer your questions.
