Hello, Up for your consideration is a very nice and true muscle automobile. I purchased this car about a year ago from a man in the Dallas area. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. He had three older cars and due to his age, was starting to sell them off. He told me he was a retired auto damage appraiser and had bought this car 18 years ago because he was amazed that the car had no rust. He had replaced the master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake shoes and also the gas tank and sender unit was replaced and replaced the pitman arm due to play in the steering. He paid 7k for a paint job as the car still had the original paint on it and was fading. This was at the beginning but for the last 12 years it just sat in his garage driving it once a month around the block or to have the oil changed. When I test drove the car it smoked pretty bad and the speedometer was screaming but it drove pretty smooth. I purchased the car and brought it back to south Houston where I live. I first had the engine checked out and found out that no. 6 cylinder was only putting out 30% and that no. 8 was not putting out anything. So I had the engine taken out and rebuilt. Also at this time installed a new alternator as the old one was sparking and still has the factory card in the engine department. Now she purrs with her two barrel carburator. I took out the speedometer but could not figure it out and just bought another one and put it in. The original will come with the car because it shows the true mileage. The body is straight as he told me that it was never in a accident. The bottom is as clean and straight as the top. The muffler had a hole in it so I replaced the exhaust from the engine back. The interior is close to perfect. Gauges work, lights work, heater. The compressor was locked up so I replaced that a long with a new dryer and now the air condition blows cold. The carpet in the back needs dye from sun exposure many years ago but other wise in great shape. The radio will not come on. The dash looks great with no cracks, more proof that this car has been sitting in a garage. The head liner and sun visors look perfect too. All glass is great and windows go up and down as they should. The paint looks real good and the bumpers are shiny but have a few spots and will probably need to be rechromed. The attena is broken off but I have a new one in the trunk. The trunk looks to be solid with a nice spare. The tires looked brand new when I purchased the car with the stubbies still showing but after I had the car on a lift, I could see that they were rotted out so I replaced the tires too. Has the automatic shifter floor console. The side mirror was never put on probably because it was pretty pitted and the glass was loose, I bought a new one but it is a little different and so it is just sitting in the trunk. She is truely unmolested. The chrome trim and emblems are all present except for the right front fender molding but I bought a new one in the trunk.Turn the key and she starts right up. The car is stunning and just needs minor finishing touches. I hope you can come drive this car as you will be amazed. I need the money otherwise would never sell this car and I'm sure later on in life I'll regret this. Thanks for looking...
